Any specs on the already built miner?

1gH/s at less than 1kW for 1000 USD?

1k USD= ~1.57 BTC
The base price of 210 *free* chips is 21 BTC through Avalon webstore.
Almost sounds too good to be true!

yeah. no factory will sell with huge positive ROI

Break even is matter of so many things and power consumption is hard to transfer $$ over time. You need to count over +100days and hope for the best. Best bet is to buy lower watts machines. In theory you could run them longer. Those Scrypt miners sell like hot hot where their break eaven is so distant future none knows whats going on with altcoins lol

If you count it to earn 250$ /day you do it lot easyer with bitcoin mining than Scrypt miners.

Mining has become factory race. So many people intrested and things sell eaven with overpriced $$$
Whole business model for investing 1000$ to earn 2000$ is wrong lol

These are not the best chips out there. A1 Coincraft does 1TH with lesser chips. They might win the race by dropping price faster than Avalon. 210 chips sound... meh alot!

I prefer the A1 chips now

We can assume info to appear in this official page.
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Avalon3
http://downloads.canaan-creative.com/hardware/A3233/A3233Q48-140313-V01-EN.pdf

They give chips free for system designers. Avalon wants to be only the Chipmaker. This 2U rackmount design made with A3255 chips with 3 blades was said to be compatible with these new A3233 chips. It has chipcount of 210.

So i declare this to be the machine. 70chips / blade. Hope i'm wrong, lol. If not this design, 210 chips is still huge unit. Bigger than anything made sofar.

Free chips here.

It's weakest of all the new chips. Avalon might just give them out very very cheap.

Was thinking of this. That chip suits for USB miner.

Beats Antminer U2 least.

Wouldn't order anything from them if they were the only company left making bitcoin ASICS.

Please check Avalon team ratings for this forum just to show you how much they value their customers.

After my batch 3 gen 1 order was over three months late and they showed a lot of evidence of a lot of pre-mining before shipped...ya think I'll stick with Antminer, Bitfury or Asicminer gen 3 thanks.

These devices need to be in stock in the united States before I would consider it. And it needs to be less than 3500 for 1 TH and .7W/GH.

Was thinking of this. That chip suits for USB miner.

Beats Antminer U2 least.

From a developer's prospective - even though a USB miner is not an impossibility I'd say it doesn't make much sense.

(stock) USB3 can deliver 4.5W. This chip using 5.35W already exceeds that. And it doesn't even account for power conversion losses. So if you need to deliver 5.35W to the chip and in the conversion process you get 80% efficiency that means 6.7W at the input.
Or for a 5V power supply you're looking at 1.3-1.5Amps.

So - a 1-chip miner is probably doable (and most of the new powered hubs will let you draw 1.5-2A per port) but going with a dual-chip USB miner will probably be a pointless exercise.
