Today it looks like both to me. Either we will continue the rise to $8700 or something like that, or the market will reverse and we are going to retest some of the previous levels. You have to decide which one of these options is going to happen for yourself. I know this post of mine is of no use to you, but I myself am in the same dilemma. I just recently exited a trade I had, and now, like you, I'm wondering should I go long or short?

Just to be clear, I hope for a continuation of the bullish run.

After a long bullish trent it is so hard to differentiate price correction and trap,so we just have to go with our instinct.Myself choose the long term and contiue to hold even if the price reaches sloghtly below because we have to remember we started this year at $3000 and now reached upto $8500.

after this huge spike no one can say where price will go , i think there are less chance of falling you said that you already made loss so its better to stay away from this type of spikes

Just hold and wait, i mean we are already making better numbers than last year and it seems that the price is going up everyday and to think that we were at 3k just 2 months ago seems to me like a very promising sign that it is going to keep getting better, i personally recommend that you just hold and wait to cash out until the Q3 of the years just because that usually the time that others start cashing out as well, but if you have made a significant profit i would just play it safe and not get greedy and just cash out.

Who knows? I tend to think it's a real bull because there will be a big event for Bitcoin next year, so Bitcoin shouldn't stay too long on $5000. However every pump brought out a possibility for a dump. Don't be shocked, we would face a correction (I hope it's just a little) in the near future before resuming the positive trends.

I think its a good plan to sell at the current price and buy back in after this next dip is over.  Don't be afraid to sell after a huge pump because everything must go down at some point.  Or you can just play the hold game if you are too scared to day trade.

The market is pretty undecided currently.

Since a few days (after we hit 8300$ for the first time), the price struggles to find a proper level.
We did retest the upper resistance (8400$) as well as the support (7900$) several times now - even today.

Candlesticks are not clear at the moment.

What we definitely can say is:
Overall volume is still strong.
We (finally) found a strong resistance after the sudden rise.
Bulls have enough power to maintain the support level (until now).
We encountered more red candles in the past 2-3 days.
Bulls don't seem to have the power to push the price much higher than 8400$.

So, neither a bearish reversal nor a continuation of the uptrend is confirmed.

(there might be a slight advance for bears if we solely rely on TA)

We cannot say that this is a bull-trap. I mean the price has increased dramatically in the last month or so. What we are seeing is that those investors who have bought when the price is around $3000 simply cashing it out. If I'm in your shoes, you should look at the long term. Everyone suffered a big loss last year, specially for those who have bought in on top. So it's better to HODL on it and not panic sell at this point. Correction do happen so that we can move forward so just be patience.

I do not want to give a signal for you to buy cash in or cash out . Perhaps i will site my own opinion that this is the time when we need to cash out because it already pumps to hard and what happens in this kind of situation a dump will be incharge soon. Wait for the very basic identify the support that can be the bounce area. If you lose last year this time make yourself proud, fix and treat your losses as your fuel to learn more in trading.

There is always dumps at every spike of price, so chill out traders are always going to cash out profits. Trading is their business. If the price disappoints you a bit, treat it like its sort of a hiccup and you can go along with it like selling yours and then buying them back to gain more satoshis.

with your experience last year I understood with your concern, if the current price is enough to cover your losses I think it would be better if you cashed it now. so that you don't experience the same event this year.

I do not have it but with your experience which has turned into fear, depending on your profit now too, I would cash out to wait if a major correction will come before going in a again

it seems like everybody is on guard with the market movement now
lets just manage the risk i guess 50% on crypto then convert 50% usdt
in the end of the day what matters most is what you get than what you supposed to get more
having such mindset will make you loose your profit worst even your capital

Keep some and cash out the rest. when you are feeling worried to see the same pattern that happen last year and you should choose a wise decision to cash out some of your portfolios when you have been getting it back again. Just keep some of your amount in your wallet to anticipate the bull and cash out some money to anticipate the bulltrap.
The trend looks so difficult to be determine but i believe we are in the bull.

Why are you even asking this question? Obviously the market right now is way beyond any chances of its current movements on just being a bull trap, why? Because simply together with its upward movements along the way he had broken three key resistances that made Bitcoin go down in the past, another key indicator confirming that is it never  attempted to weaken on these levels confirming the bullishness of the market.

Other simple indicators are as simple as looking at the volume where you will see that the increasing volume is also supporting the increasing prices which simply mean that the price increase is not manipulated by a small group of people.

Judging how the market behaves today, it seems like we're still on uptrend, so I guess its still good to buy in some. Cash out option should have been set to a specific target to avoid yourself from panic selling. Set a good gain percentage, and when you hit that, sell it without any hesitation, its gonna be a win-win situation either way. While cashing in is best during bearish season, and still good everytime the price drops a small percentage during the bullish run.

Easily bull, something that went up from 3500 to over 8 thousand dollars can't be a bull trap, the whole idea of bull trap is going a bit high and getting people to buy from those prices and then selling all together to both make them lose and then gain yourself.

If someone took the price from 3500 prices to over 8 thousand dollars just so they could sell all their money and gain profits from it while others are losing then he must have millions of dollars and thousands of bitcoins and I doubt people at that height deal with this day to day movements of bitcoin that much to actually do those small stuff. This was a legit bull run and hopefully it will continue but even if it doesn't that will not mean it was a bull trap for sure since its against the whole idea of it.

there are some people that predicting that the ATH will be pass this bull run so if you are confused you can hold 50% of your bitcoins and the other if you want you can cash it out so whatever the outcome of the price you wont regret it.
