A round of applause for @theymos, global moderators, and forum staffs

Let's me tell you some facts:

• There are bots (or is a single bot) that designed to find past plagiarism
• There are so many Ban Appeals last week
• There are changes in theymos' approach to deal with permanent bans
• There are new allocated rights for global moderators to unban permanent banned users
• There are loads of unexpected works that dropped on mods, global mods and admins

So, please tell me:

• How many appealers say thanks to @theymos, global mods, and mods?
• How many of appealers admited their plagiarism mistakes?

Users plagiarised and blame their faults on forum rules, then ask for appeals. That's a big joke, in my opinion because you made mistakes, and ask someone works for you, then if results are not what you expect, you blame on them for the second time.

I deeply empathizes on perma-banned users for mistakes made, but we all know that not all perma-banned users (due to plagiarism) will get their bans lifted.
In the meantime, please:
- Say thanks to theymos for his allocation new rights on global moderators, and his approach to give more chances for perma-banned users.
- Say thanks to global mods whom actually work to dig your past stuffs to find reasons for your  ban uplifts.
- Say thanks to mods, whom carefully checked reports from forum users, then send their detailed reports to admins or global mods.

If you think that a ban should be ended, make your case in a new topic from a "good for the forum as a whole" perspective.

Globals can now issue sig bans so it'll happen more often but isn't going to be a let off for everyone (so if half your posts are copy and pastes then forget about it but people who are getting banned for one or two posts from years ago will likely be shown some mercy).

Plagiarism. It'll probably get changed to a sig ban though since the post that was reported was from 2014 and he seems to be a half-decent poster. I'll look into it later.

That's all you need to get a rope of ban uplift, if you meet those things. I don't know you meet them or not, and you should self-assess your quality. I don't know you locked your topic, or mod locked it, but if your Ban Appeal solved, it should be locked. Solved does not mean ban uplift.

Even if your Ban Appeal won't result in Ban Uplift, you should say thanks to all of them.

And also you forgot to mention, after the removal of Vod as a Merit Source. 8 merit sources have been added.

I think theymos took the opportunity to process new Merit source applications, there are now 130 merit sources with a total merit generation of up to 20605 sMerit per 30 days.

Actually I have known it, but I only mentioned about things related to Permanent Bans (latest wave, new changes in rights of global moderators, more actively works and initiatives of admins, global mods, mods). What you mentioned is off-topic. However, maybe someone else did not know it, and your information might be helpful for them.
Banned users ask for appeals, then when they don't get what they want with their appeals, they attack others even when proofs found, and their general net effects are not good enough to be accepted by global mods or admins to jump out of graves.

I know what you meant, they include normal reporters (like us, normal users) and genius reporter(s) whom use(s) bot to find plagiarsim and report found cases. However, once again, it is off-topic, because what I wanted to emphasize is the forgetness of ban appealers, whom ask for help, for appeal, for time to investigate their accounts to give them chances for jump-out-of graves. However, eventually, there are two types of rejected appealers:
- They accepted their mistakes, and their final perma-bans (after appeals considered and investigated), then locked their ban appeals and don't complaint anything;
- They did not accept their mistakes (or pseudo-mistake-admission) and their final perma-bans, then keep complaining, and so on.
Hence, I wanted to remind that whatever results of perma-ban reconsideration and investigation, they should say thanks to admins, global mods, mods, and even users whom give them proofs of their plagiarisms. Because all of those people actually spend their time, to work for free, and for their appeals.

Life has become easier these days. Banned users can get 60-day bans and sig-bans instead, but that totally depends on users' quality and net-effects.

I unbanned you and issued a year sig ban instead. I'll give you the weekend to reply to PMs then issue a 60 day ban (which is pretty much normal practice for plagiarism cases now).
