Calm down dude! it's just a very normal situtation in crypto market. I think with those who are in the crypto market about a year all know about its highly volatile. Sometimes, it has a slightly increase, a remarkably increase; but sometimes, it's immediately falling. That's specific the whole market works. Personally, thanks to its volatility, rarely do i have too much concern on bitcoin price, because i believe that no matter how falling it is, still it will soon have a recovery.

First of all, it wasn't exactly $7100 but $6200 over Bitstamp by a single whale claimed by a trader who said he already had such information of this incoming dump by his internal sources.

A pump cannot be carried by a single whale, but a dump can.

Reasons? See this:

- There were a lot of Shorts even when $4500 was on the table as bears were still looking to take control back from the bulls, but the exchanges were suffering losses which made it them want and escalate this unusual bull run for obvious reasons of their financial benefits. It was shot above $8000 in just a few days which made shorts lose their positions as well as a lot of money in those leveraged trades.

- This created an environment where it all looked surprising to everyone as how did the bull run start so quickly and all of these traders started following the trend which made them "BELIEVE" that BTC has now turned completely bullish and it can't turn back. Then comes the whale (I probably believe he's a bearish minded trader currently or tried to recover his losses through selling a massive amount of BTC in a single shot to drag down BTC to $6200 at a single exchange). According to the article, this made other traders try to figure out how to buy BTC over Bitstamp and make the best of this advantageous opportunity by doing arbitrage over other exchanges. So, to stop them from benefitting through this, other traders over different exchanges followed Bitstamp pattern and threw the price to $7k which could have made really handsome bucks to that whale if (and he probably have had) he had leverage trades open with high leverage towards down. Else, just give me one reason as to why someone would just dump an asset over a single exchange when he could have sold them in parts over different exchanges?

I was in shock too from last night when it was steady climbing past $8200 then after the night passed see it down $1000 as of now.
Went to youtube and after a quick search see the headlines "manipulation" in the titles of almost all the crypto influencers.
How the their tunes have changed all the sudden.

We are in a volatile world where such quick reductions and increases can happen at any point in time. I am really not surprised about this sudden down trend of bitcoin and the entire crypto market. Currently bitcoin is now trading around $7k-$7200 and this is another buying opportunity for bitcoin before it increases further anytime we see the crypto market rising all over again.

Very worrying but I advice to the holder out there be patience stay cool cintinue to monitor to get fast decisoin using margin, hope this only a correction and moving up again the value.

I don't really like reading news especially in this kind of scenario as it will only weaken your trust to your investment. If you invest, it is very important that you will trust the currency that you would like to invest in.

This movement is only a little and this scenario is only part of how the market flows. Be familiar on how the market flow, other may dump their coins in order to stock more from cheap prices. So it's better that you know what do you think is happening right now and better buy more.

Well, fine here nothing happen for me. I had seen bitcoin price like this many time. This correction situation only, I thing some trader get them profit at same time. Let's look at today, see price will go to the track.

We can also said that when some entity after april fools day buy huge amount of bitcoin, $100 million to push the price. So that's how the whales played the market.

There are even some speculation that some big Asian whale was booking huge sell order and wanted to suppressed the price for unknown reasons.

I think this is the collateral damage that has been made by the recent pump that we've witnessed. Although we've been witnessing and aware of that it's still kind of shocking to see the quick drop in your face. 

I wouldn't describe this as a collateral damage but I'm sure everyone here who has been in the market long enough, or at least in 2017 really knows that this kind of retracement is inevitable.

That's just my terminology base on what happened. It pumped for a while and that's the counterpart of it.

No news except for those claims by those experts that bitcoin should be dumped and forcing people to sell it. It's not a hidden reason anymore when there's a sudden crash, a massive sell offs happened and this has been done by some whales.

Even if there is no FUD, people tend to sell to take profits, it's normal. We may call this a healthy pullback, and look at the price bright, how many of us didn't buy when the price is around $4000-$5000? And now seeing the market had a rally in the past months or so, many are wishing they've could have enter before. Now this is their chance to re-enter and put their "put one's money where one's mouth is".

Yep, sure it is a healthy pull back and another chance and period to take more while it has dipped. Those people that have been wishing to see a lower price, yeah it's now their chance and moment to buy.

^ Bro, you have been here since 2017 that is only a minor correction from the big ups of the price. Don't worry it is really normal for most of us here to see that kind of stuff. One of the possible reasons can be used against that is some centralized banks or big whales dumping their coins for fiat in a while. Keep your belt tightly and strongly hold your crypto asset right after this small correction there will be a massive pump just like what happened last week.

That's a good reason, never get trap again they just want to make you panic. think that bitcoin has a limited total supply. and fiat is unlimited, bitcoin will continue to be of high value, but of course prices will not always last in high price, some time prices will fall. but don't because of it makes you panic

Always put at the back of your mind that whatever goes up must come down, so when you see such run on btc it was clear that there was some form of manipulation going on by the whales, only thing the non-whales can do during that period is take profit when you can, don't be greedy to want to ride it to the top cos you might get rekt, i wasn't that surprise to see the sudden drop because it was bound to happen any moment, but btc still above 7k can still recover.

Bitcoin has such nature of sudden crash, but shouldn't be anything to be worry about becasue it will surely come back again in a short distance time. When there is a sudden bull run, you should be expecting a sudden crash as well, but that's not the end of the story as the price will bounce back.
