The impact is not more powerful but the implementation will really gives the confidence about their security by the help of k y c method and I think it performing well and it definitely needed for this gambling field otherwise we cannot know if the problem is happening or not for our security
Well KYC is an antimony laundering procedure or a part of the AML which is being a part of many gambling sites to make sure the money is not involved in illegal activities not allowed by the jurisdiction. The exchange of course knows the gambler who is paying the money from his wallet to the exchange/another gambler but the gambling site requires this as well for it makes the system transparent.

In gambling, of course KYC is not needed at all in my opinion. ~~~~

Agree, stay anonymous was the initial definition of cryptocurrency, but involving KYC will make it behave like fiat. Gambling with fiat wouldn't require anonymity, becasue it's basically fiat that's involve here, but whenever cryptocurrency is involve, there shouldn't be any form of KYC. My identity is very much precious to me, frankly speaking.

I don't think it's necessary unless they just implemented it for overcoming the problem of the fake account. if they know that you are a real user and are active on the casino playing regularly or maybe after some days then also they can focus on you. that will help them improve their site even more like they can make their site according to your needs without even asking you about it.

Me too I don't see any importance of implementing KYC for the players because gambling site are not affected because we are player and we play gambling by our own money not their money. I don't see any advatanges for the player and even benefits of requiring to follow KYC that implement by the gambling site. KYC is for the project is better and do not use it anymore to the gambling.

In gambling, of course KYC is not needed at all in my opinion. Because people play gambling just for fun without anything complicated. Just an example, if someone just first gambles and the goal is just to have fun. Is the person complicated by doing kyc first. In gambling doing kyc seems to be a waste of time. I have never played gambling on a site that requires members to do kyc first.

right, gambling is provided for people who want to get entertainment and pleasure, if someone wants to gamble on several sites by doing KYC first, I think everyone won't do it because it's just a waste of their time even too complicated to do, maybe people's interest will decrease if KYC can be applied to several gambling sites

That's right, we want to stand anonymous all the time and keep our privacy. Doing KYC for gamblers will simply giving a way for them not to gamble with their site instead, they'll find another that never require any KYC submission. Mostly gamblers are high profile people, keeping their identity is very important knowing that some people are taking advantage over their personality using them into some illegal activities that bring them into in danger.
For me, KYC isn't important in gambling.

So what exactly is the transparency in harassing a gambler who wishes to keep his activity private all with the aim of meeting up with one crap policy that regulates money laundering? Is this even supposed to be for a gambling site, Now my question here is this? Who is the suspected money launder? The gamer or the casino site itself and how does this affect the gambler?

Truth be told and realistically, even the casino site operators understands the aspect of anonymity for a gambler, and they know so well reasons behind gamblers wanting to keep their information secret, so I find it very annoying when a site brings in bull shit reasons for the importance of KYC. It doesn’t benefit a player in any way.

Know your customer (kyc) is one security measure I support and do not hesitate to fill-in all my kyc required details. KYc is being used by exchanges, ico project some bounty managers etc.
But is kyc really needed in gambling section. I experienced a very hectic kyc procedure when trying to register onto a gambling site with them telling me they would get back to me after some day so I wonder what if I got a pressing game I needed to play immediately.
In my own opinion kyc is not of major importance in gambling section. What do you guys think
I think that when money is involved KYC is one of the most important to have in all sites even in gambling sites because it matters most the jackpot to who who will be the winner. I think there is no way to doubt it or hesitate on it since it is much more good when they know your identity. It is very transparent to all and there is no way for saying "how come I lose? I was fool by the site at this moment" lol  Grin Anyway it is my own opinion, I respect the others opinion.

But is kyc really needed in gambling section.
I know we have been getting access to most of these crypto sites without the need of KYC and got a little comfortable.....maybe a whole lot comfortable.
But do we need KYC? Yes and No!

For the No, kyc is very unconvincing especially if it's not mentioned when registering and only communicated to you when trying to withdraw after having a good day of gambling.

Then I have observed that kyc is usually extended to gambling platforms that accept fiat as a means of funding your account, so companies do this to prevent fraudulent funding, protecting those under 18 years of age, which is something likely to be part of their licence agreements and generally protect their image and money.

TBH If you still not comfortable doing KYC maybe avoid gambling sites that accept fiat as a form of funding.

I don't want to visit a gambling site that required KYC verification, it really depends on us if we are going to pursue our selves to pass the KYC verification in gambling which is a very risk on us as a gambler. I think if there is a gambling site that has KYC only fewer gamblers will use that gambling site those who are willing to show their selves. But those who remain anonymously will not undergo KYC verification, maybe they will afraid.
I agree, because most gambler need also a privacy. If you notice that there is kyc require just choose another site, if you dont want a kyc. Its better to secure your personal that let others know if who you are. In gambling its not so really important because sometimes you gamble just for spend time, and youre not expecting to win.

There will be many other sites which doesn't use KYC for their member because they respects of their member privacy and they don't want to know much more. But that will be back to the gambler itself, which one they want to choose and no matter if the site is KYC or not, as long as the gambler can enjoy the game, then it is fine.

All gambling sites are compliant to the country where they are operating, this is why they asked for KYC this applies when there is a big winning involved I prefer doing KYC to stable gambling sites, then an ICO project, it's safer and you know the life span of gambling sites last for many years.

I know that it is important to know our customers, even in casinos, it is better if you are the owner and you know your customers, that will get you more since you are nice to them. But in online gambling, I don't think we should be needing one. I mean one of the reasons why people are using these crypto currencies are to keep their identities from being known, they want to be anonymous. I know that there are reasons for these but I will go with a gambling site without KYC since I want to gamble anonymously, it is the reason I want to use crypto currency.

People had conflicting views about KYC on gambling sites, but for me, it's better  they asked KYC if the winning is above the threshold to withdraw justliek they do in exchange, if the winning is only $100 to $500 then it is ok not to ask for KYC, bit if it is above $3000 then they can ask players to do KYC.

Exactly. It’s optional and that is the reason I would not even play on a KYC site to start with. As a matter of fact, I think there are more sites that do not ask for KYC than the ones who do. I  can see that you have no problems with KYC because you are putting the reason behind the implementation into consideration but have you given a second though on what impact that could be on you if your information is leaked out?

I personally feel that the time I spend in filling the KYC is a waste, could be used on better things and in some site with poor service provider, there is tendency for delay in verifying the identification.

I don't think it's necessary unless they just implemented it for overcoming the problem of the fake account. if they know that you are a real user and are active on the casino playing regularly or maybe after some days then also they can focus on you. that will help them improve their site even more like they can make their site according to your needs without even asking you about it.
That assurance is not enough for a gambling site that your a real player. KYC can be asked if your money is beyond the limit and I think being a gambler who always play are not exempted from this. Its important for a gambling site to collect the data of every gambler if they are withdrawing huge money because it can help them to check if you are the real owner or not.
KYC regulation has nothing to do with checking for fake accounts. The main reason is to control money laundering and fraudulent activities and moreover I don’t think there is an exemption for anyone, there is nothing like checking if you are regular or not a regular player, a site that needs KYC info would do that to all their players, I think it’s important for us to get that straight and right.

I think the only times there are exemptions are for sites that do not ask for KYC on their daily basis, only when a player has a huge win and they probably do this for both the security of the play and the website, and it’s always understandable in such cases.

In my opinion kyc is not a problem if you are warned about the website kyc policy when you are creating your account.

The worst thing is to have a kyc surprise when trying to withdrawal your funds.
