I'm in Manitoba, Canada. Our Hydroelectricity is a touch under $0.07 / KW/h

I've got Belkin Insight power consumption meteres on all 14 rigs. They total about 12 Kilowatts.

So according to my math

$0.07 X 12 = $0.84 / hr X 24 = $20.16 a day

But to power the whole house, I'm averaging $250 a month. Is my meter broken? lol Or am I terrible at math?

Aren't you in one of those places where electricity is "cheaper by the dozen"? The more you consume, the less you pay.

Also check (I assume since you talk of the total for the month, you're the one paying the bills) that your electricity isnt on some sort of budget program. Natural gas usualy is so you arent paying $10/mo during summer (maintenance fee, admin fee) and get whalloped with $300 bills during winter, they average it out and you might end up paying $100/mo all year. Something like that probably only re-calcs a couple times a year at max.

Maybe list the makup of your systems along with their draw according to the meters and others can chime in if its on par with what one should expect.

Every seconed month is an estimate, and the every other month is the actual reading, both for electric and natural gas. I pay like $130 one month, then like $370 the next, then $170, then $330, etc.....

$0.07 X 12 = $0.84 / hr X 24 = $20.16 * 30 days== 604.80

My bet is your either paying allot less then .07 or your on a budget billing system.

How about lets take a step back.

How much does your bill say your power consumption was (in kWh)?
Are you on some budget billing plan?
How long have you been running at peak load?

Sometimes companies only check meter every other month and estimate for the odd month.

If your power consumption (in kWh) is wrong and you get 3+ low bills then likely you are "good" but I wouldn't break out the cigars yet.

I would bet on budget billings or the power company is really lazy; which means they haven't come to read your meter.  I would be ready for a really big power bill when they do finally come and get an actual power reading.

Been mining since June. By august I was pushing 10KW. My power meter on the outside of the house indicated approximately that.

Now however, the dial is stuck at around 2kw.

My biggest bill was about $350, the other 4 were in the mid $100 range.

How much power was used on the $350 bill?

I was definitely using more than 4 KW/h in September. At least 10kw/h as I was pushing about 13-14 GH/s back then, plus all the regular day to day power that we use..

Looks like my next actual reading will be a big bill.

If your meter is reading 12kwh then its 12 * 24 * 30 = 8,640 kwh over a month.

If you take your $350 bill divide by 4,590 you get ~.07625  per kwh.

So you bill should be closer to $658.82 per month for just your rigs.

The good thing is even at your current cost of power your still profitable. Careful although if they catch up to you next month you could be looking at 1,800 - 2,000 power bill.

Yeppers. Specially merged mining, and using my 6 cores for SC.

I'm curious how much my next actual reading bill will come to. Time to start preparing lol.

Im gonna go with the factor of theres somekind of discount or "payment plan" with your power bill,

I live in Victoria BC Canada, Where i pay just under .06kW/h My bill lines up perfectly with my mining power draw.
But i only have a 2.1ghash farm

Do you miners ever get visits from the police? I would be worried the utility would submit you to the suspected drug grower list.

There have been reports of Police with search warrant being confused by rooms full of whirling graphics cards.

Now that is awesome.  Hope they didn't trash everything while they "searched".
