This question should be ALL-TIME favorite

But, since it's not... and I'm sure Mt.Gox would be everyones numbro uno

I'll have to say the obvious #2 exchange to exist -

Bitstamp is my favorite bitcoin exchange. It has a good liquidity and the fiat withdrawals are very fast. The only downside is that their trading fees are bit high when compared to other exchanges. Furthermore, Bitwise's report about cryptocurrency exchanges recognized Bitstamp as an exchange with no fake volume which is really good. They recently got the Bitlicense as well.

Apart from Bitstamp, Binance also a good one as it has lot of popular tokens with good liquidity with competitive trading fees.

Currently, my country has some quite famous Bitcoin exchanges and many users such as Remitano, Kenniex, ... Because they provide very convenient payment solutions. Most Vietnamese want to sell bitcoin and get their money right into their bank accounts, which the above exchanges can do very well and quickly. In addition, their support team is quite quick and dedicated. Because it is a floor created by Vietnamese people (At least I think so), their support team uses the native language very well. That's why they became so successful and loved by many people in my country.

Best crypto exchange remains Binance, even after the recebt hack.

It proved that it can survive when facing difficult situations and it has a huge liquidity.

I use centralized exchange just for trading place and never took a large amount to store on it, yeah you will know that's very risky. Sometimes ago binance has hacked and 7.000 be stolen and this showed up there is no safe way to keep our assets on exchange. However, when I trading I always use localbitcoin or binance so far, I use local bitcoin if I don't have asset cryptocurrency to trade and I should buy first. And I use binance when I got paid form signature campain and I never withdraw all of money but I leaving it a half for I trading.

No wonder why a lot of people will still choose this exchanges despite of hacking issues because it gains already trust from us. Hacking might not a good issue cause it affect the security of individual funds but it can't be reason why we just lost our trust for Binance easily.
We can resolve it actually and improve the security to the high level to prevent from recurrence.

I do think decentralized exchanges will become the next step in what people look for when they want to trade their bitcoin in the near future.
With all the problems with the centralized ones this will drive them away from using them with their takes of high commission and horrible rates.

I haven't used Kraken or Gemini at all, so I don't have an idea about those exchange. Although I don't know that they allow or not my country. However, I loved Bittrex but now bitrrex don't have a good position and they are not fair to list a coin. Now I like Kucoin for trading, Kucoin has good live support.

I often to trade in Binance, Bittrex, Bitmex and sometimes in Poloniex but that is not my favorite since I don't have any favorite bitcoin exchanges. I think every bitcoin exchange has almost the same function, and the difference is the fee that was applied to each exchange. I don't know much about Gemini, but I know a few about Kraken although I don't trade too often in both Kraken and Gemini like you.

I still prefer to trade in Binance and Bittrex for trading altcoin and bitcoin at the same time because so far, I don't have a problem and I can feel comfortable to trade in those exchange. We should have this feeling so we can stay and enjoy our time in trading and that will help us to make a better analysis.

Binance for sure. For a simple reason. Enough money circulating over there to actually trade.

I like Binance and Hitbtc but there's no such thing as perfect exchange. There will always be lapses and failures.
We can't deny the fact that they're safe from hacking because even the top exchange like Binance have been hacked.
It's just for us to handle our earnings.

Actually, I choose them taking into account the amount of cash offered for Bitcoin or the rates BTC/altcoins. Naturally, I choose among the trusted exchanges. As for me, these are Bitfinex and Idax.

I am more interested in trading sites that have high trading volumes, what I might do is get profits there faster, I usually play on the Binance site even though there is a lot of bad news on their site, but I feel safe and comfortable there
