So I recently knew about this altcoin and I've been saving up some cash specifically to purchase it.. then I noticed a sudden drop in price from 0.12 cents to 0.023 cents
What happened with the project?? Is it still safe to purchase this coin??

indeed the current condition of the market is uncertain, better before you decide to invest more deeply in the altcoin that you will invest because it is important to get the expected benefits. and don't be too surprised by the decline because crypto is volatile where prices can change significantly over time. you must understand this. |

Small altcoins like dgtx depend entirely on their dev teams and some crypto whales to sustain a stable price. Perhaps the dev team started mass selling coins and this caused the price to drop. I'm not familiar with this altcoin,so maybe you should ask on their announcement forum thread(if they have any). |

You should have researched before deciding to buy DGTX. Maybe a lot of people call it Shitcoin, but I think a drastic decline must have a cause. I also experienced the same thing last year, but I did not experience fatal losses. Because when the coins start wasting, I still have the opportunity to sell them. If you can hold, hold on. Because the pump can happen later. Don't give up!

It seems DGTX have some pump in dump in their previous announcement. Price surge when they release an update then slowly the token were pumped. And to answer OP's question, it is simple, after the pump and hype rally, someone dumped the coins to unsuspecting buyers probably an exit to take profit after the hard labor of hyping the token. What happened with the project?? Is it still safe to purchase this coin??
If you can risk your investment then you can purchase it. But if it is me, I would dig more information about the dump and see if the dev has something to do with it. |

I was shocked when I heard the news too. I really admired that project because I got good profit from it during the good old days of airdrops. The way the price dropped is still surprising to me. Hopefully, the team and developers will do something and get the project back to its glory. |

No, I'm yet to buy the coin so I'm currently not loosing anything.. I'm just contemplating whether or not it's safe to buy the coin right now that there's a decline in the value |

All these projects and coins are high risk but some suspicious delays and strange behavior from the team has definitely shaken the trust of investors, today i was also reading an article where it was stated that cobinhood has decided to close down and liquidate after collecting huge funds, so market is very shaky and we habe to be vigilant about new projects.

Maybe dev sell some coins, i really never invest on this, or maybe some people start sell the coin for bitcoin to get bitcoin when they see the price growing. I'm not sure how much coins dev have.

DGTX is a new altcoin. New altcoins tend to increase a lot and then get dumped, or they tend to get dumped immediately. It is better to make very short trading with new altcoins.

I quite agree with you, investing in new altcoins is quite risky, a lot of them tend to have huge price fluctuations because the developers are often experimenting and with any negative development comes a massive dump. Digitex is one of such having postponed their exchange launch indefinitely caused the huge decline. |

I don't know why you see it necessary to create a new topic just because of a drop in price in a token which you only come to know about recently, those who believe in dgtx are still hodling irrespective of it's sudden drop, between the price drop didn't just occur now,
you should count yourself lucky to be buying from a very low point considering the price of dgtx during it's ath,
there are other tokens you can buy if you are not comfortable with the drop in price which also affects all other tokens/coins incase you haven't noticed.

The community couldn't bear with the founder anymore over the constant postponement of the exchange launch, they fear it may never be launch and spotware the software firm handling the project development accused him of not being sincere about the project, I doubt things will still get better with DGTX.

Its on of those ultra risky altcoins that can either make you a fortune or end up completely dead. As long as you can live without the money sometimes its worth taking a shot on these types of projects. I'm holding a few really cheap altcoins right now that I hope will gain massively during this next run.

I understand what you are saying, because I know of few people that has made so much money out of these shitcoins, but that is when the project is new and yet to be pumped, if you invest when the coin is new and still very low in price, there is high possibility that the coin will get pumped by a whale and that is when it is best to quickly sell it before it gets dumped. The moment a coin gets dumped like the one he mentioned, there is no hope of it rising again, except it’s a strong project with real life working project, and then we may say that it will late pick up in near future if the team works harder. |

If the drop in price of the coin as at the time you noticed it was a sharp one, then a whale must be in Action there, then the project has already long been gone and simply being used as a pump and dump coin, so it is better you stay away from such project so you dint end up adding another shitcoins to your bag. I will advise you research more on these projects that are within the top 20, we still have some very cheap ones you can buy that will give you a very high increase in the next bull run, so better you take your chances on these ones. I will also recommend you have stellar, this coin is certain to make you a millionaire. |
