The description of how to choose the right ICO is difficult to describe. This is not a recipe. Something is based on experience, and can be gained over time. In the other matter, I do not think that IEOs make a big difference. The money collected is not the power of IEO but the power of exchange.

I have no experience in investing in ICOs but if we're going to relate that to the current events and issues of ICOs these days. It's totally difficult because many of them have gone into a scam. Yes, ICOs are being made these days just to collect money and feed the developers. There's still some legit project but because of those scammers, investors are also in doubt of investing on it anymore.

Most of the ICOs are not guaranteed,  it's better to invest in an IEO or prolly invest in existing projects. We can't really filter bad ICOs from good ones.. a lot of ICOs have gone bad. Learn the product,  the team and the development. Most especially paternship.

I think you have to be selective in choosing investment land. If you want to choose a good ICO project to invest in, you have to analyze the project first. This analysis you do to find out what the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, and challenges will be faced by the project. If we know clearly then we will consider whether we will continue to follow the project or will stop following it. Analytical material can be found on websites, whitepapers, social media, and all official links to the ICO project. The most important thing is that you don't immediately trust ICO ratings because it can be very misleading.

This is my opinion.
Answering these questions will determine which project you can invest in.
First of all why anyone want to invest in ICO?
What is the probability that the project is a scam?
If the project is not a scam what percentage may the price rise?
What is the return of owning a token? Is it just waiting for price increases?
At last how can I participate in the project?

What is the probability that the project is a scam?
Any new project can be a scam, so doing this steps may help to determine if this project is scam or not, but even this steps, you cannot guarantee the project is not a scam.
1- Check the idea of the project, is it new or old, if something new it will be a better, also this idea should be realistic and achievable.
2-check the team behind the project, you should be sure this team is a real (focus on founder and co-founder).
You can do this by looking to their linkedin account, check their social media   accounts, check there history of activity.
3-Each project has an advertising video explaining the idea of the project, check if the founder appear in this video, if not, be careful, this project may be a scam.
4-check the soft cap and hard cap, do not believe that the low amount is better than high amount, the amount the soft cap and hard cap should be suitable to the project, this mean if the project big and the amount is low be careful it may be a scam, and also if the project is very small and the required of soft cap and hard cap is high.

research and experience in finding information about the ico project, of course I have and understand. but it all cannot guarantee accuracy even though I have chosen what I think is a legitimate project, but it does scam and lose again. in the end I gave up and did something more suitable than investing in the ico project.

The most important question nowadays, how we choose the ICO project to invest.
Every month there are hundreds of new ICO launches, with this, it is very difficult to choose from all this ICOs, and it is very hard work.
So here we will focus on few steps can make you narrow your search.
Hope this help you choose a good ICO.
I will not recommend any project, it's just guidance, and in the end it's your decision.

We are talking here about the project itself not the method to participate, as IEO is the a way to participate using exchanges and do not guarantee the project is good.

From my participation in ICO, I can tell you that 95% of the ICO project we have running currently and even in the past don't really have anything to offer or might not succeed in delivering what they have to offer because they were able to raise the funds needed for both the world and for themselves, this os why I now advice people to stay off ICO project and invest in a better method of crowdfunding such as IEO or STO.

Didn't find any steps about how to choose the right ICO to invest. Roll Eyes

But no projects are good to invest now since they are just here for making money by selling their tokens,if there is any project with mining to get the tokens then it may be a good project to invest.

It is hard to find the good ICO project to invest because most of the time there will always a scam ICO has been scattered out there, but if you wanna invest an ICO you must look their documents like whitepaper, website, roadmap and their social media and the team behind that project.

Wayback in 2017, ICO projects are booming in all directions. You can hit the jackpot if the ICO you have joined in is that generous but nowadays, it is very difficult to decide which ICO to invest because scammers have scattered in the bounty thread posing as the real team and presenting convincing white paper too. Now ICO, I believe, has been replaced by IEOs which is more reliable in my opinion. So if you are going to invest, invest only the money you can afford to lose.

ICO market almost died in 2018, this is not the time to invest in ICO, investing in ICO now only makes you lose. You should think about IEO, a form of capital mobilization that is similar to ICO but is exchanged in advance. Binance's IEO may be a good choice for you, please consult carefully before you invest.

Ya i also try to invest Binance IEO. but i miss that chance. I also this now a days IEO is good to invest.

This choosing is very time-consuming, but I can't say that is impossible. If you really want to invest in ICO - just made a good research
and do not hesitate.

Also, choose a dedicated amount of money, it's very important.

When I do this, this ICO listing website helps me a lot.
I think it isn't a problem to found many similar.

If you can find some reviews or some people who already invest - you are lucky! So I recommend you to be an optimist without suggestion. If you decide to invest in promising ICO - just keep calm Smiley

I do not like direct investing. There is a big reason for this. I, as a hunter, see too much deception. As if we did not consider the project under a magnifying glass does not help it.

It is the main advice not to rush to invest. Check partners and team. Try to check the documents for plagiarism. Listen to what they say about the project serious experts.

It is not important the project is ICO or IEO, suppose the project we choose to invest is legal and not a scam, this doesn't guarantee we will get profit. There is a lot to study before investing in the project. Many of the projects were not scam and caused very large losses for investors.

I can say that no matter how hard you choose ICO project and think it will be sucess , then i can say you are wrong Smiley I can name so many projects that Youtubers , twitter crypto tweeters and many more so called crypto ''famous'' people though that ''this particular'' project will definetly be in top10 coins are quite dead now . If there is too much fomo for a project , then better do not touch it , ofcourse depends on people involved in project . Remember the days then Vitalik tweeted that his second project is OmiseGo , the price of the token went straight up . Look where is it now Smiley Im not saying its bad project , but people should be carefull following masses Smiley

I did not join any ICO since 4-5 months. When I joined ICOs, I was researching almost everything about that project. I'm researching team members of the project and old projects where those members work. I also read the project's whitepaper. I compare projects that are similar to that of the project. And finally, I read the comments about the project. This research is taking a long time. But thanks to these researches, I know more about the world of crypto and I know almost everything about that project.

So many people have voted option number two and that includes me, Have experience but may not be sufficient to judge the ICO project.
I've been into so many ICO project, but until now I am having a hard time figuring a good coin to invest and promote, I thought, some of the projects that I think are ok turn out to be a bad project.

I find this topic interesting. Let me share about how to choose my project for you. First I will use a tool to check the traffic. The next step, I examine the site's design, good projects will often be very invested in the image. Of course, it cannot be ruled out whether the project is fraudulent, but it will reduce part of the risk. Most importantly, there will be 1 whitepaper orthopedic, specific route and plan. After checking the above brief steps, we need to learn about the team behind the project through information search pages, which is great if you can contact them to make sure it is not people impersonating.

It is hard to really know which ICO will eventually survive or will not turn scam after a lot of funds raised as the ICO has turn to new scam alert in town now.

I think ieo is more secure than ICO now as the exchange in which they use to launch their token will be liable in case there is a scam and it also sure that they will get listed with no time after the ieo cos most ICO coin turnout not to be listed or even listed on small exchange that has no impact to grow for the token rather than makes it dump more.

Choosing a good ICO maybe a very difficult task but as an experienced person in the crypto world, one may watch out for the team behind a project and also what the team have to offer the crypto world at large. Always do a research first if you want invest in ICO. Although no guarantee after research you will get a good ICO
