Be completely honest: Have you actually tried transacting recently? This is likely just one of those posts complaining about the fees even though the person complaining hasn't even tried transacting.

Even though the mempool has been a bit congested since the past few weeks, the fees are still A LOT lower than it used to, assuming you're actually using a SegWit address. There's no reason for you not to do so.

Besides that, I think with the higher fee of the transaction, it will get confirmed in a short time and we don't have to wait for long or even days. I think some people don't mind to pay high fees to the network because the amount of withdrawing they made will bigger than the fee itself. Fees really aren't that bad anymore at the moment, I don't think I've paid more than around 75 cents in fees in the past couple of days.
Didn't have to wait too long for confirmations, like an hour at most.
Now, I don't typically pay what my wallet suggests, I look up the fees beforehand.

Fee is almost $1 when I made a transaction today which might worth about $150 or less and I guess this is not the fee will make someone sick.

BCH is not the right option when you want to reduce fee,there are some shit coins with no or very low fee for transactions.Try it.

While you making transaction, it will pass through the blocks and if you needs transact it very fast then you need to pay high fees for that transaction. Generally most of the wallet providers prefixed the average fees to make the transaction. If you modify it then it really hard for you in fee structure.

To solve the fee problems you may move the BTC to any trusted segwit wallets like Electrum, Greenadress and so on.

I believe the conversion your bitcoin to BCH and BSV is not a nice idea when we are checking the potential comparison of this and that coin.

Of all altcoins, you pick the BSV that most people here are avoiding. Fees are really is giving headaches. There are so many altcoins to choose from, you could have pick the ones that is obvious being used in casinos at least.  Pick EOS or the ETH which still hasn't bloom much since the start of the bulls.

I gamble pretty regularly and I've been switching over to using Litecoin recently. Most crypto casino sites accept LTC as a method of deposit, and fees are much lower than Bitcoin's most of the time. I've also tried out using Doge and other coins with lower fees that are accepted by casinos in the past, but LTC's accepted in more places in general than most of those other coins and I've been keeping a small part of my crypto stash in LTC ever since.

I still don't understand what these people want. Why are there altcoins (alternative coins)? Because they offer you what bitcoin can't offer and opposite, bitcoin offers you what altcoins can't offer.
Let me explain why it seems like people stick with bitcoin and pay high transaction fees: I have bitcoin, price rises, when other person without bitcoin sees this, he/she wants to buy bitcoin and do what I do - buy low / sell high.
This causes increased number in transactions which automatically leads to an increased fees. In any way I have to move bitcoin because I make money from it, thatms why I stick with it and don't care much about transaction fees.

Yes it is a pain.
We have a lot of options by now though. You could go out and try Western Union. You will see that it is just the same or maybe worse than bitcoin transaction fee.
Other is Ethereum which is really cheap even before.
Now, you will only need to exchange your BTC to ETH which will also have fees. It will just be the same in the end.

The fees are relatively lower than they were before. You just need to adjust the fees according to your urgency. I'm doing most of my transactions below 50 cents. Though 50 cents is still high if you consider other alts.

You can use segwit for lower fees. The problem with BCH and BSV is those coins can anytime get destroyed, specially BSV since they have shady behavior from the beginning.

At first, i was also complaining about the high fees. But yes, I am now used to it. You can get back the fres when you earn profits from btc trading, right? I could suggest you choose an exchange that offers small fees. DYOR is the best thing here to know the best exchanges that had smaller fees with good system.

You can name any coins which have a low price than bitcoin, and you can have a low fee to pay. As he mentions bch and sv, then I think people can do the same thing as him. Sorry but it's not that high lol, you can still use <$1 fee an you can still get fast confirmed. I'm not recommend bitcoin cash. Litecoins should be fine if you want low fee. there are still people using BSV particularly those who got a lot of fork coins. if you got a ton of it for free why not. transaction fee is really going to make btc transaction a pain, which i'd rather be using XRP of course i know its fee is much lesser. Yeah, since btc price increased I think it has also made the fees to go high. This could be because of demand and people who are selling off to take profit. After this initial rush, it could go to normal again. It was witnessed last two years too or anytime price increase.

You are the first person I will be seeing complaining about bitcoin fee has been high, you would have just left you money in your traditional bank and see which charge is higher. The only time we usually get high charge complain is when the price is becoming too high and also demands become much which usually create congestion for the system, which no one forced you to transact this time.

Those forks you mentioned, what is their trade volume within 24hrs compared to the trade volume of bitcoin, when you see the number of people using this coin within 24hrs, you will understand why we usually have congestion sometimes and not always.

Naturally, if transaction costs are high, that is due to a large queue and the price of bitcoin is now increasing. You may use other altcoins to transact like Monero or XRP. I also often do as you do when you feel high transaction costs.

Use SegWit to get cheap fee, if you complain because of high fee but you send it from exchange you just making fool out of yourself. Exchange usually have fixed fee so they can make money each time you withdraw. If you use your own wallet the fee will be much cheaper.

Transaction fee can be dependent on the type of wallet provider been used, Imtoken (IOS version) charges too high even though they claim to be a Segwit wallet, Mycelium (IOS)  has Low fee, ecomony, normal and high priority, they are all still high when sending $25 upward. Switching altcoins is the best option if you avoided the high fees. But you need to have research first before choosing which altcoin do you like to use. Just like me before when I was planning to transfer into another exchange. I switched all my assets in Ethereum(I know it is less risk compared other) which is having a small fee while I am transferring the fund into other exchange rather than I used Bitcoin. It depends on your mistakes from the previous. Fee mostly depend on your input, if the input is more, the fee is likely to be high. Why don't you combine all of your input at one before the fee started to raise? In that case, you would be easily payed a little fee.

Indeed, if we want to transfer in small amount, we can use ethereum or Doge. Old coin like Doge very usefull because the price looks stable and transaction fee very cheap. But i dont think bitcoin transaction fee is high and i think its nomal fee

I feel you thats why I transfer to ethereum too since theres a lot of affordable transaction site to use for it unlike btc. I happen to be inlove using eth's platform already and been trading a lot for a long time already.

All of them are good and for bitcoin, it is not always that we have such issue of high charge and like many of the people have said, this happens when there is congestion, which is why we have some of those altcoins has alternative for transactions that you do in a hurry.

If I am to choose any other coin as alternative to bitcoin when there is congestion, I will choose ethereum more than Bsv and bch that the op mentioned. I got 115 inputs in my wallets right now and when I use electrums auto fee, it tells me that I have to pay 0.01289437BTC -75.3sat/b (~$100) for fees.

I would rather wait 2 weeks and pay 5-10sat/b (no more than $10) to consolidate my inputs. $100 is nuts.

Reducing the input numbers of your wallets will greatly improve the fees. You should consolidate your inputs every once in a while.

I think some people don't mind to pay high fees to the network because the amount of withdrawing they made will bigger than the fee itself. Besides that, I think with the higher fee of the transaction, it will get confirmed in a short time and we don't have to wait for long or even days. But it depends on every people who want to use other coins, and we cannot force them to use bitcoin only.

I think many people who have used the way you say. where they transact using other assets that might require lower costs. like doge or LTC know the other assets that certainly have cheaper transaction costs.

The problem of Bitcoin's scalability has not yet been resolved and commissions with it's price increase will be even more expensive.. The network will lag terribly. This is a sad truth. That problem should be solved by the full implementation of the the lightning network.. Bitcoin is now on the process of mass adoption, that includes high fees for the matter. Yeah you can shift train, but make sure you will loved it more than btc. BTC is now becoming a legal coin soon that will be serve as a currency and direct gateway for transaction. Yes altcoins have this but btc is more closely on the level of total adoption globally. When we talk of high fees, there is always a time this happens which is usually during congestion, and I also move to a reliable altcoins temporarily too till the network becomes free, but we should not be making if feel as if it is every time we experience high fees in Bitcoin the way the OP is making it look like.

Bitcoin transaction is still not that bad even in a congested network compared to other fees we get and I will still prefer to rely more on using Bitcoin for payment except the high fee that is too outrageous which I don’t think any fee charge for BC transaction has ever been over outrageous..

The BCH transaction fee is very low, when you compare it with Bitcoin. Right now, the average fee is somewhere around $0.0011, which is at least 400 times lower than the Bitcoin tx fee. The median transaction fee for BSV is even lower, at $0.001. I am not sure about the transaction fee for LTC/DOGE, but let me know if they are lower than this.

There are so many other token out there that is almost offering zero fees in any amount of sending just make sure to use their platforms. I would not recommend BSV to you, cause there are so many complaints about that token as of this month. If bitcoin really fix or have a solution to this fees then using it would be a lot easier.
Also, remember to make sure that finding other trusted crypto would be not easy.
