I think the hardest part would be convincing people that it is actually provably fair. The point of provably fair in dice games is simple and everyone could check each roll they have with the seed and that's done, quite simple yet quite quick.

In poker games the problem is not that the shuffle is random, it could be a fact that shuffle is random which people will accept with fair ease, however not seeing your hand is the question, you may get fair cards given to each player but as long as one player sees everyone's hands then he will win no matter what. Proving people that nobody knows your hand and nobody can scam you that way will take some time, even if you are legit (I think there are one or two other legit poker places in crypto as well) it will still be a hard sell on the users.

Hi! You are fully correct in your statement that the problem in poker games is not that the shuffle is random but that no other player or person can see you face-down cards. This is the exact problem we solve in fair.poker!

In short, the way we can prove to you that we cannot see your cards is the fact that you personally shuffle and encrypt the whole deck of cards. When you are dealt cards you are the only player on the table who has all needed keys to decrypt them - we don't!
You can verify that fact by monitoring the game and using external tools to decrypt the card ciphertexts.

You can see how the provably fair algorithm works here: https://fair.poker/details

There is also a really nice article on Wikipedia about mental poker: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_poker

Please note that there is no other provably fair Texas Hold'em game on the market - there are other variants of poker but they are all single player. We are very excited to be the first ones doing multiplayer Texas Hold'em!

We would be very glad to clear out all questions and concerns with the community so go on and ask your questions!

- Don't trust, verify!

Recently just register on your site but still not deposit yet and only looking around the site however i saw on the lobby room there was plenty of table available at there but none of players at there and i think since this is brand new poker site and to promote it i think you have to give to the new players non deposit bonus or free roll tournaments to attract more players and if people satisfied playing at there then not impossible to people to deposit and play

Welcome to Fair.Poker! Please join our Telegram group we're organizing poker games there! Just post a message and someone will surely sit down and play with you.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer deposit bonuses, since we are not doing any KYC and a person can easily create multiple accounts and claim multiple bonuses. However, we will be offering rakeback programs and other bonuses - join our TG group and we can give you a special invite code there!

Why aren't you accepting altcoin? I usually use Ethereum in playing and it's sad to know that you're only accepting bitcoin. How will you guarantee the fairness of the game?
Can you assure us the the game would go well as well as the withdrawal? Your graphic design looks great and the bonus that you're offering would surely attract more players.

The main reason we do not accept altcoins is that there must be a single chip among all players. For example, a player who has deposited litecoin cannot play versus a players who has deposited bitcoin. If we split the players by coins, then we would reduce the overall liquidity of the games. To have the highest possible liquidity on the website we need a single unit of account.

We choose bitcoin as our chip as it is the highest market cap cryptocurrency, most secure blockchain and the Schelling point of the industry.

Your slogan is "Don't trust, verify!"

I want to verify your company registration in Costa Rica because I do not trust you, but you do not deliver?

Are you schizophrenic?

Pretty good work, personally I prefer game interfaces similar of, for example pokerstars, zynga poker and similar ones but it's a good work too if we consider it's mostly html5 based. But to be fair your website's design is more on sci-fi side rather than on gambling side.
Will be interesting to see if you become (hard task to my mind) because FJ had great poker interface with traffic and trustworthy name but their poker attempt failed.

Well I don't expecte much from gambling platform and trust is out of the way in gambling and the may have a register company in a country and will use that to cover other part of the world, but the most important thing is do they have good and fair system if their do then it OK by me and can risk it.

I deposited 0.002 BTC on your site to try but there's no player to play with. I'm waiting for 3 hours hoping that someone will sit and play but none. How about a little giveaway to try out your site? 5k -10k satoshi will not hurt your pocket?

The website looks pretty cool, but sometimes the fonts and the size of the letters makes some messages hard to read. It is cool that you made a provably fair poker and included the detailed info as well as images to explain how it works. I was also surprised to see that Lightning Network withdrawals are possible, it is not very common on gambling websites yet. What seems to be missing, though, is the page with Terms of Service. You don't make the users agree to the terms before starting to use the website, and I did not find the relevant page with information at all. This is important because one has to know what to expect before depositing any money. Is there KYC? What is the minimum withdrawal? What are the fees the website charges additionally to have some profits? Okay, you answered the KYC question in the thread, but I think such info should be available on the website as well.
Good luck!

Yes, this site looks interesting to me. Here are the fun games that are the best medium of entertainment. Also I found this site trustworthy that looks good to use. And yes, it seems to me that this site is fair. But I think this site's graphics design can be better if more work is done. Even after considering everything, it looks like this site is good.

Are you sure about that? I mean, provably fair poker algorithm wasn't invented by you, right? So, how can you be sure that other gambling sites are not using it? I came across this article saying:

Provably Fair poker sites are still in the developmental stage, with only a few established companies operational.

Your company is a new one, so I don't think they include it in the "established companies". Your intention to create a provably fair poker site is commendable, but your claim that you are the only one around doing this, looks a bit strange to me. Unless you have invented something unique in the field of mental poker, you can't be sure that others don't use the same techniques as you do, since those techniques are in the public domain.

Hello Betwrong. The mental poker algorithm was not invented by us but by Ron Rivest, Adi Shamir and Leonard Adleman (RSA - sounds familiar?). To the best of our knowledge we are the first operational provably fair Texas Hold'em poker game that is played with real money.

The algorithm itself is quite old - proposed in the 80's. However, there are parts of it which we have invented which have to do with catching offending players if the poker protocol was violated.

There are provably fair single-player video poker games and other variants of poker which have been available for a long time but not a multi-player Texas Hold'em game which we are aware of.

Indeed, there are other blockchain projects working on mental poker implementations but none of them have launched a mainnet game yet.

Well, I guess we have to wait until your platform will be functioning to check whether you have managed to implement something others couldn't.

Can you please allow checking your site without registration? I'm sure you'll get much more volunteers that way. Currently, when I click PLAY NOW, they propose me to register first, and I suppose they will ask me to make a deposit to be able to play after I register. I'm definitely not going to do that, although I would test your site for free with interest.

Yes, we will enable access to the lobby and the tables without registration in the future.

However, as of right now, you only have to register to view the lobby and the rooms - there is no need for a deposit to do any of that Smiley

Am not much of a poker guy myself. But online poker games are almost generally manipulated by the poker gambling site owners. But this project seems to have pointed that out already so I give some credit to them for that.

I do have some knowledge on how to play poker myself but I am not a regular poker player but I know some or one of the reason why poker games are almost generally manipulated as you have mention is because of "MONEY" itself. Some poker games are even intentionally rigged and mentioned on their terms and agreements which is not fair to some poker players.

The idea about a provably fair poker is awesome, and as you say, no one offers this on the market, so, good luck with the idea.

Now my question is... is there a way to verify the previous game, and is there a way to verify that no one can see our hand or predict the upcoming cards, i know each user encrypts their hand, but the server should know what hand have each player to evaluate who wins, so, that information could make from your site a rigged site. Maybe if you make from your project an opensource project more people could trust in it.

I think it's better if you can give a demo account to every new player so they can test the game before they make an account in your site.
Learning poker will not easy, especially for people who don't know how to play poker, although I found out that you give free short learning on how to play poker.
The site design is simple, and I like the colour because it does not look too complicated.
I see also the math calculation on the site, and it was too difficult for me to understand.
Well, OP, a nice site at all, good luck on your project.
