Stale blocks are somewhat of a risk though, so there is no absoluteness when your transaction has only 1 confirmation. If the transaction value is on the lower side, there isn't much to worry about, but when you're dealing with large value transfers, definitely make sure to pocket that second confirmation before you walk away.
So it is possible to get our transactions get cancelled even after we see one confirmation on the blockchain network?

I thought it was impossible to cancel the transactions once it got a single confirmation.

I think you need to be careful especially if you buy btc in large quantities. I suggest waiting for 2 confirmations

I want to buy some BTC with cash locally, the seller i found says : "send BTC to your wallet. After 1 confirmation On blockchain, collector takes from the table cash."
Is this enough  to be sure i will receive the bitcoin sold me? Or its better to wait for 2 confirmations?
There are some places that started selling "bitcoin cards" if I am not wrong, they are on some sort of grocery store type places in our country (think of wallmart as a global example) and right on the cashier place there is bitcoin cards just like apple store cards and psn store cards, that seems like a great way to buy bitcoin.

I don't know how they do it and I don't know how it works since I haven't bought it and since the price of bitcoin keeps changing all the time I am not sure how much they are willing to sell it for since if the price goes up they would profit more from just keeping those cards but in the end those type of products will make sure you are making a profit. Bitcoin atm and localbitcoin is still the clear favorites of course in this scenario.

with just one confirmation, in my opinion it's enough if indeed the fees entered are not too low, besides i think there are local exchanges that will make it easier for you to buy btc which of course you will feel comfortable and not too worried about transactions that are not confirmed

I think you just redeem the card on their website and whatever the price is at the time of redemption is the conversion rate that you receive.

I did not buy bitcoin when I want to invest. I got my bitcoin in participating bounty campaigns which gave me some of my sources. I don't want to buy becauss that is my motto. I will never in cash cryptocurrency but instead I will always withdraw money.

Well im putting down 65000$ so kinda worried  Roll Eyes

That is a lot of money so I understand why you are really cautious over the sale. What I know is that just one confirmation is enough for the transaction to be completed but exchanges usually wait for more before you can do something with your bitcoin. Just like what others are saying here, transacting with that big amount of money can be so risky but then if it went through then it is okay.

Usually my exchanges would require at least 3 confirmation before they will credit my deposits, so maybe don't just settle in one confirmation, more confirmation is more safer and actually it don't require a lot of time as once transaction is already confirm, the waiting time will be lowered.

I do exchange when it has huge of assurances in return, because exchanging is too risky and have to be aware the consequence in order to evade from loses. It usually used by many who has lack of fund in btc , so I think exchange is liable way to abrupt btc appropriably.

Where I live there are local exchangers that you can sell or buy Bitcoin from, as well as Ethereum and Litecoin. Whenever I'm selling BTC to them, they don't even need any confirmation, I just send it and they check the address on blockchain and then give me cash or do a bank transfer. Same thing applies to when I'm buying BTC from them, I don't even wait for any confirmation, I just check address and that's it,  within few minutes it will be confirmed and most of them times they make use priority fees to send it so they it will be confirmed within few minutes, it only takes long to confirm when they make use of regular fees, like one hour.

Good for you so you wont need to worry about those long time wait, things is much quicker if you will pay those miners fee for quick transactions
maybe for this kind of transactions as its concerned about huge amount, paying the miners fee will add some confidence to received your purchased coins much faster.

I would say 1 confirmation is more than enough but if you really want to make sure just check out your own wallet and see the money there. If you see the money on your own wallet then there is no need to wait, some wallets accept 1 confirmation but there are plenty of them that wait until 6 confirmations which may take a lot of time but if the seller spends a decent amount of transaction fee then it shouldn't take more than couple hours at most and in which case you can have like a lunch or dinner or whatever together and talk about bitcoin. So, the short version is yes 1 confirmation is enough the long version is wait until you have the coins in your wallet to spend (which could be as much as 6 confirmations). It all depends on how much you trust your wallet and the seller.

I think you need to be careful especially if you buy btc in large quantities. I suggest waiting for 2 confirmations

You should better avoid these suspicious deals. Yes, you can be offered more than you get on an exchanger but will be you given the guarantees that everything will be honest? Stay away from these things.

I have repeatedly been convinced that there are quite a few scammers on the cryptocurrency market.  This is a good way to make money for unscrupulous people.  Based on this, I prefer to use only proven resources that have a certain rating and authority.

Yeah, it's possible to buy cryptos without banks. But it's very dangerous as there is a high probability that the dealer will just fool you and take your money. Cryptocurrency exchanges like cex are safer in this regard, and you can buy Bitcoins there with your cards, https://cex.io/buy-bitcoins, or bank transfer.

In my opinion, one confirmation should be enough for you to trust the person that want to sell Bitcoin to you. If the seller is not in a hurry for other activities he or she should wait until the transaction is confirmed before he leaves. If I may ask do it there is no local crypto currency exchange in your locality like Remitano which serve as escrow that you can patronise and have your peace any time any day.

You should ask for the Transaction ID(TXID). By that you can make sure that the BTC was sent on your BTC address. And you can also confirm it by that.

In buying bitcoin, you should try more buying face to face. You should try meeting up so that the scam rate will be lowered.

Depends on it, I think 1 confirmation is fairly early to say it's safe because the transaction might fail. It's better to take the safest point than to lose your money, at least more than 1 confirmation. Usually I receive in 3-7 confirmations in several exchanges that I use.
