On Monday, Bare Knuckle FC held a press conference to promote next month's card - with Malignaggi and Lobov trading vicious words - and Malignaggi spitting in the face of Lobov.
A few weeks ago, Malignaggi slapped Lobov in face during another promotional event.

Their rivalry stems from another. Malignaggi has a longstanding beef with UFC superstar Conor McGregor, who is good friends with Lobov.

Malignaggi and McGregor had a bad fallout in 2017, after the UFC fighter brought him in as a sparring partner for a scheduled fight with Floyd Mayweather.

Malignaggi has been discussing a promise to put Lobov in a coma - in order to send a message to the mixed martial arts community.

The veteran boxer feels strongly that MMA fans have been disrespectful of the sport of boxing.

“Lobov and the mixed martial arts community have really disrespected my sport in a lot of ways; boxing, saying that we fight with pads on and it’s not a real fighting sport and what not, but we have all the deaths,” Malignaggi told FightHype.com.

I became a fan of Paulie when we showed he got the balls fighting Miguel Cotto with a broken jaw. But he became a dick lately in his career, he had a bad mouth. On the other hand, we all know who Lobov is,  . So this is one exciting fight and it's bare knuckle.  . What are your thoughts about this fight? Other's are totally against bare knuckle because it is really brutal, buy hey if two combatants with a history of bad blood between the two, then expect a full pack action fight.  . I'lll go with Paulie here because of his superior boxing skills, although he is feather fisted. I think he can dodge and frustrate Lobov here and then eventually used his boxing experience later in the rounds.

Same pick due to boxing experience of Paulie this is already an edge but still depends on how he do execute those movements.Light punches might be an issue but using defensive mechanism basing on
his boxing experience will really add up and talking about brutality about bare knuckle,at first when i saw this sport it is really violent but later on when i do actively watching fights
it do becomes casual on my part.

This is the entertainment era and Paulie wants to cash in with his popularity now, the real issue is created by McGregor though, he was invited as a  sparring partner and then used that footage to promote the fight is really silly to being with, UFC and team McGregor took that unethical route to hype the fight and that started the entire beef.
I am rooting for Paulie Malignaggi as he is a world class championship level former boxer and Lobov is the goat and his MMA record speaks for itself  .

It is really brutal to watch blood splashing and the injuries they attain with each bout, i am not against it as two people are voluntarily doing it as a career.
This is the most highly anticipated fight in the short history of bare knuckle fight and i am sure there will be an audience for this too.

Looks like the ' The Russian Hammer' got hammered from the image you posted  , how can someone take punishment like that. Even though Malignaggi is retired from boxing, he looks in shape and i do not think that Lobov have a chance when it comes to technical stand up skills, never seen bare knuckle fight till now, anyone care to share the site that will stream this fight.

This is the first time i've seen boxing that is using bare knuckles for their fight, both fighters have their own advantages but playing it in boxing rules? It might be a little different for Lobov this time just like what happened to Conor McGregor before unless if Lobov got a lot of stamina in him he might stand a chance if the Paulie is not that kind of defensive fighter just like Floyd Mayweather.

I have never watched bare knuckle fights, either on TV or directly. And after seeing these pictures, I don't want to watch such fights for the rest of my life. I don't think that bare knuckle is compatible with modern human civilization.

I have a feeling that this is not going to last for long. In a strict sense, tournaments such as this one may not be illegal. But the fighters are taking too much damage and it is just a matter of time before something untoward happens at the ring. I am OK with Boxing and MMA. But this is just taking it a bit too far. I agree, at least governing bodies should step up before it's too late. Although boxing has also some sort of 'accidents' in the ring. But those have 8 ounces to 12 ounces gloves, but still some had died.

So imagine this bare knuckle fights, sooner or later we 'might' see worst things to happen inside and even outside (after the fight), because of the damage they body and mind take.

You sure you watched the fight? It was like 13 years ago dude. Cotto and Malignaggi fought in 2016.  . So far I haven't seen any bookies yet,  I guess it's time for @Cloudbet, @Sportsbet and @Nitrogen Sports to open the gate for this kind of betting. At around 0:19, you can see Jason Knight losing one of his tooth. After watching the one minute video, I felt like I had watched some Hollywood horror movie. This one is not for civilized people.
