Transparency disclosure: I am a core team member for Helios Protocol, a genuine project whose name and content is being copied and misrepresented. I have intentionally not provided any direct links to the scam project to reduce any confusion and additional web traffic, this information is contained within the evidence below. I make this post as an individual defending my community, as an archive against these scammers and as a message of awareness for those who are new to crypto and the risks involved.

I recently became aware of a scam project known as Helios (IOS) aka Helios Network, Helios 0x. This scam project is blatantly copying a genuine project, Helios Protocol (HLS), both in name and plagiarized content. Helios(IOS) is having an ICO at this time, stealing money from people. Do not be fooled! Do not buy Helios(IOS)! Below is the evidence that Helios(IOS) is a scam and that this same entity is running multiple ICOs/project at the same time.

Helios(IOS)-Scam Project
This project is currently an ERC-20, created by this address:
https://etherscan.io/txs?a=0x55c99b04573a3ef7bdb3dcd2b95f1af9be4a565f&p=2
The Helios(IOS) smart contract is:
https://etherscan.io/token/0x9be0280622c7506ff71a4ffa93beddc46acd9301
Creation Txn, 76 days ago: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xdec5aee9dbf76ec92069621cf0355e9f4c61348e365c8f48667b6507469d6116

This same address also created a token called SecureXR(SXR).
SecureXR(SXR) smart contract address:
https://etherscan.io/address/0xfcdae8771f8d28e3b9027ab58f4a20749767a097
Here is the contract creation of the second contract, showing it is the same address: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xbc22778dfd1ff4e26881b0a2cb91f120fcbe5daee3689db935fa81285859138d

A third token called RBCoin was also created by this malicious address but never used, but I feel is worth mentioning in case it is used in the future.
https://etherscan.io/address/0x02b794ed04465b152f051bd5f1046c1bdb07c02a
Here is the contract creation of the third contract https://etherscan.io/tx/0x25e5aa2bce37e6fde2579355728d9db45199f5ec58964fca0c7cfc49617c22ad

Helios (IOS) Scam project code
The gitlab for Helios(IOS) show a total of 9 commits developed privately and all posted on the same day by a brand new, unverified account. The ICO design and smart contracts for both Helios (IOS) and SecureXR are extremely similar to those produced by Tokenmint ICO generator, a common tool used by scam projects to instantly create an ERC-20 ICO.

Plagiarization
Helios(IOS) has blatantly copied much of their content from the genuine project Helios Protocol (HLS). Below are a few examples I picked from dozens. Much of the "documentation" is a direct copy paste of the Helios Protocol (HLS) website and whitepaper.

Plagiarized from Helios Protocol Whitepaper

Here are other reviews showing Helios0x (IOS) is a scam project with a fake team of stolen identities. Some of this info is only available in archived versions shown in these links. These scammers are actively changing facts and faces once caught.

Helios Protocol(HLS)- Genuine project that is being plagiarized

Helios Protocol(HLS) is a serious project building actual technology to solve major issues facing dApp and blockchain technology. The full whitepaper outlines  how this is being accomplished. https://heliosprotocol.io/files/HeliosTechnicalWhitepaperV0.21.pdf

Helios Protocol (HLS) began development over a year ago. Proof of this active development is shown on their GitHub, which has 9 repositories and over 2700 commits in total, with a new commit every other day on average since the prototype was completed last year. The testnet of the final platform is live and public. https://github.com/Helios-Protocol

Helios Protocol(HLS) is being developed and deployed by a legitimate company, Helios Blockchain Technologies LTD, a registered company in Canada. You may request their DUNS number by searching Helios Blockchain Technologies here: https://www.dnb.com/ca-en/duns-number/lookup.html#

The founder is an accomplished scientist, developer and entrepreneur. His information, as well as the rest of the Helios Protocol(HLS) team, is public and verifiable on their website. https://heliosprotocol.io

Helios Protocol(HLS) did not have an ICO and has been funded by it's own team for over a year, while distributing HLS freely to their community via Discord. https://discord.gg/b2sSj8h Several people affected by this scam have already appeared in our community confused.

Helios Protocol(HLS) is currently an ERC-20 that will be swapped 1:1 when the mainnet launches this summer. The token contract is:
https://etherscan.io/token/0xf5d714d9cd577b7daf83f84aea37a1eb0787e7ad

Summation: Helios Protocol (HLS) is in no way associated with the parody scam project Helios0x(IOS). Helios0x has all the red flags associated with scams including: simultaneously running multiple ICOs and projects from the same ETH account, fake team created with stolen identities,  plagiarized content from legitimate projects.
Do not fall victim to this scam or others like it. Always, Always, ALWAYS do your own research before investing in any project. Educate yourself about the red flags associated with scams. Never invest money you can not afford to lose.

Move it to reputation. This will be the perfect board.
In helios protocol, you have someone in your team who was previously in a scam project. How do you interpret that? Isn't it shady to have someone who was in scam project earlier?

First of all, your comment is besides the point of this post. This post was mainly for the purpose of informing people of an obvious scam project in the hope that some individuals may be able to avoid loosing their money.

Nevertheless, why don't we take this as a learning opportunity for you.

Lets start by defining what a scam project is these days in crypto. A scam project almost always follows the same basic outline as follows:
1) They promise something magnificent and ground breaking that will change the world forever.
2) Without any product or work at all, they ask everyone for money. They promise that they will use this money to accomplish what is written in 1)
3) They never actually create what they promised. In fact, they usually don't create anything.
4) They take everyone's money and disappear forever, which they can do because they were careful to remain anonymous the entire time.

You see, a scammer is trying to do as little work as possible, while stealing as much money as possible.

Now, lets look at what HeliosProtocol has done:
1) Come up with a groundbreaking concept that results in an infinitely scalable smart contract and DApp platform. Something customers actually need.
2) Create a fully transparent website showing the entire team, a highly technical whitepaper, and exact roadmap to follow. Even register a business with the government and get verified by Dunns and Bradstreet.
3) Develop the entire project from start to finish with zero funding. In fact, the founders spent tens of thousands of dollars of their own savings, and multiple years of their life, to accomplish this. The lead developer even put his PhD in physics on hold to make time to work on this full time. Entirely unpaid.
4) Build a strong community of like minded individuals who actually care about the future of society.
5) Airdrop tokens for free to the community during this time.
6) Release the testnet, which happened over 3 months ago.
7) Release mainnet, which will happen in Q2 2019.

In this case, HeliosProtocol is doing the opposite of a scammer, doing as much work as possible for free.

You want proof of any of this? Check their discord. You want proof of their testnet doing what they say it can? Why don't you just try out their testnet wallet and see for yourself? Want proof that they are making ground breaking technology? Why don't you check their github and see for yourself? They aren't hiding anything. All the proof you need is open source, transparent, and there at your fingertips. Let me link them for you because I know you aren't going to bother looking yourself:

discord: https://discord.gg/xXwt2YC
github: https://github.com/

Lets just pause for a second to take a look at this. If HeliosProtocol is a scam, then they are doing a very bad job at it because they ended up accidentally making new technology that the world actually needs, and loosing tens of thousands of dollars at the same time. Doesn't sound like a very effective scam to me.

Getting back to your other point, about a team member being from a scam project. The team member in question is a community manager. He got caught up in the crypto hype of late 2017, just like a lot of other people, and helped out in a shady project. He was never more than a community manager in that project and had no control in how they functioned. I am not sure how many cryptocurrency projects you have been a part of, but community managers usually do just that, they manage the community. Does that sound to you like they have any say in how the project actually functions? Any day do day operation decisions? The answer is no. A community manager has no effect on the how a project operates.

^snip^
I admit that all of the above are true, you guys did a lot of work and I wish success for your project.
Just imagine from an investor view,
I know in your team someone is a scammer (likely to be since has record of being associated with scam project), how will I invest? Does it make sense?

Your suspicion makes sense. I would be suspicious too. But I am trying to lay out the facts that I hope will illuminate the truth. What else can I do?

We really need to be very careful in this space because we have a lot of desperate people in our community, and this people don't really care about crypto as a whole but are just looking for means they could use to scam people off their hard earned money and make away with it, so let us make sure we keep exposing their plans until they have non to execute anymore and are forced out of our community.

The evidence presented here can be enough to convict of that another project that plagiarized the original one. One thing, I could not really understand why some scammers can also be so dumb. How come they think that nobody will ever notice that they are just copying content of other projects? Maybe they don't have any money to start with to buy an original WhitePaper that is why copying became the best option. I am always glad that there are people who are exposing these scammers so we can somehow lessen the number of victims of these schemes.

This has become a daily habit of scammer. Come with an idea, create copy/paste whitepaper, buy a domain, ssl and start to collect fund. Just check what ICOethic is doing at scam accusation section. Hundreds of projects are their with fake team, plagiarized content.
Those are serial scammers. They do one by one daily.
