Looking for a way to split the BCH / BSV coins. Best I can tell electron cash no longer works. ElectrumSV seems like the next best method (vs. sending to an exchange). Is ElectrumSV actually safe to use?

Another method I think would work is to send some BCH dust to my BCH wallet but not sure I trust that method as much.

thanks,
MArk

This is a bitcoin forum, not bitcoin cash but that said, electrum sv is a forked electrum and I have used it before, just connect the hardware wallet to the electrum and you should be fine.

achillez, ElectrumSV should be safe way to get BSV coin, but you should download this wallet only from official site. As always in case on any fork we have many fake wallets, so be especially careful to claim those coins.

I hope you know that procedure of claim should be that seed or private key should be empty before you import it to ElectrumSV, means that BTC and BCH coins related to this seed /pk should be moved to new wallets. In this way you can prevent any lost of your coins, even if wallet you download is fake.

Well I am not really a fan of electrum, though I can't deny the fact that I benefited from them at the time they launched in the exchange and I still have a large part of the coin in my wallet because I am still having a little hope that when the bull run begins, I will also be a beneficiary to it and make much more money for myself, I haven't heard of this fork you are talking about until now, was it an hard fork and if yes did they reward those who own electrum.
