That's exactly how we should anticipate things out, as we can't predict the future ahead of us, no one can exactly say which direction Bitcoin will go after this halving, though we witness the effects of this event and how many investors brings in more money inside this industry, it can happen again or it can go to another directions and makes things very different from the last time ride.

Having a positive outlook on the future is the best way to tackle it even though we all don't all know what might happen in the near future. Having seen Bitcoin rebound after its December 2017 all time high, i think it's the right time for Bitcoin to take a new all time high.

just imagine this year prices could go up very high even though there is no big reason to make it go up high. especially next year? we know that halving will occur next year, halving is something that many users waiting for. and of course the price will be much higher. you right, save your bitcoin from now, this will be the thing that you are grateful for saving. 2020 bitcoin will light up!

Considering 2018 has been bearish and 2019 had only the first two quarters as bullish, if we end this year on this stable prices I am pretty sure we gonna see a super increase in the price in 2020 because the price can't continue to be the same forever and that means when 2020 hits and halving happens the price will increase to make more money.

Even day traders can make only so much money with bitcoin right now, its not moving enough to make them money even with leverage at this point, so if its going to go down than that is fine too but it looks like there is no reason to go down and bitcoin is doing well so the only direction left for bitcoin is up to make more money and it could happen before 2020 but if not than 2020 will be the time that will happen so whales could profit again.

Don't bother mate, he is just posting his prediction, we are in fact in the Speculation board. He may have his own agenda from behind, but we all know that either of them won't collapse. There's too much at stake here to let the dollar collapse in the next future.

For bitcoin though, everyone knows that block halving event is a catalyst for future price growth. So with that said, I'm not seeing any collapse, on the contrary the price will go to a new all-time-high. So let's go back after one year and see our predictions here.

I mean think about it, there are super whale bitcoin miners who will continue mining no matter what because they have made enough money to pay for 10+ years electricity anyway so they are collecting bitcoin, and there are others who are still paying for their electricity every month plus they are trying to break even. Those small ones will be able to sell their ASIC miners and use that money to buy gpu mining rigs and that would make it more difficult to mine the smaller altcoins which would increase their price since the cost is now higher. That will actually make our market cap bigger.

Hmm. I never considered that before interesting premise but if we look at the small miner community and the hobbyists, they're always looking at a way to improve efficiency rather than just pure profitability. And in times when income is not favourable, they simply switch off... Although we have already seen a period where they were liquidating equipment.

But those would have been kicking themselves when price recovered this year so they will be loathe to repeat the mistake even after halving, and just wait out the storm til price again becomes profitable.

Merge mining is the closest they will ever get to alts, methinks. A psychology thing maybe but a thing nevertheless.

Most of these rumors will not stop Bitcoin bull run halving in 2020 because I can still remember the last one that took place in 2017 which help in fixing recession in my own country in 2017.  Believe me that, the recession forseen in America can be handle easily if the financial logistics are available or if they submit to the world of cryptocurrency.

I think that Bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency market is going to move upwards during 2020.
During this year, it showed a good pace moving upwards and investors seemed to trust. And as this happened in 2019, 2020 is going to be more promising with the halving event on the works.

Well, you've got a point with those two things.  I'm not a miner so I wasn't even aware that there was another halfening happening next year, but I've always thought those get priced in way before they actually happen.

Facebook's coin might just convert a lot of folks to "real" cryptos if they can manage to launch it.  I've got some doubts as to whether the US regulators are going to let them do it--and even if it does manage to become a reality, I'm not sure how popular it's going to be.  But it certainly could put a big brand name on a cryptocurrency and get people to look into bitcoin more closely.

2020 probably is going to be a big year for bitcoin, but we'll see.  We all know how unpredictable and wild the market is, and who knows what news might come out which could influence it in another direction.  I've got my fingers crossed that it'll at least hit $20k again.  If it does that in 2020, I'll be satisfied.

2020 is only 4 months away, September/October/November/December. Do you really think it would have any changes back in that time period as well? 2020 is 12 month long (just like any other year ) so anything could happen in 2020 but right now we still have another 4 months to increase during that span, I would be very shocked if the price stayed around these prices for another 4 months, I feel like the pressure of 2020 is hitting the prices right now already, we can't be certain when it will hit it and how it will hit but I am 100% sure it will hit in 2019 for sure.

Looking at how it is having hard time increasing right now even with all of our combined efforts its still not moving up, which tells me maybe the whales are selling to keep it low, which means it will go down a bit in the next 4 months and those whales will get richer in 2020.

Didn't realize it was almost 2020. 4th quarter is coming and I bet a lot of bitcoin enthusiast are already preparing for it.
