This is great news for the whole crypto community, hundreds of millions of Facebook users will now see how crypto payment works, after some time some of them will also thinking that they need the real thing and then the interest for bitcoins will most likely skyrocket in the years to come!

Yes it is the positive side but let's hope that those who would invest or would be new to the market wouldn't be fooled by the scammers,
We all know that those newbie's are the target of the signal groups who pumps and dumps some random shit coins.
So they would really need a person who would teach them and guide them properly.

I am not against any development, but let me explain why this Facebook coin is not good for the cryptocurrency community,

1. Centralized: Facebook is working on a virtual currency and not cryptocurrency. It will be a centralized coin where Facebook will have full control.

2. Non - Anonymous: even though bitcoin ia not fully anonymous, that's why we often call bitcoin as a pseudo anonymous coin. But Facebook coin will be strictly a non-anonymous coin because they will have to comply with various legal restrictions.

3. Limited usability: the Facebook coin will have limited usability. There coin will be used within the Facebook network only.

Even after having these limitations, Facebook will make big impact in the virtual currency market because of its Global brand name. Due to this reason they will eat out a big chunk of investment from the cryptocurrency market.

So I personally don't see a reason to cheer for a centralized coin. Whenever something new is served to your plate, always look at the bigger picture and accordingly decide!

This idea came out on Facebook since last year. Mark Zuckerberg wanted Facebook to have its own currency and will technically be considered as a cryptocurrency. However, they did their best to discuss cryptocurrencies like the plans, analysis, studies, and research but cryptocurrency had a small amount of reputation in the market. I mean, the Bitcoin is the best and the most successful cryptocurrency at all but the bitcoin still have a lot of opportunities from legal, security and exchanges and so on and that may be the reason why they did not execute their plan early.

Boycott these kinds of centralized place adoption with new currency bro.

I can see the bitcoin and other altcoins are growing in the market so we can stay concentration on those coins.

If we allow the centralized market to rule us. Then we will fall completely under them so be ahead with hodling BTC.

If Facebook would launch their own coin, I'm sure that it would never affect cryptocurrency. It isn't decentralized and Facebook will take control of it. We all know that Facebook has banned cryptocurrency so they will never allow their coin to be a part of crypto. They will surely centralize it under Facebook.

This is good news, but in my country it is not popular at all.(I mean, a social network called Facebook.).I don't even know how many people her use it.I also think that full openness and centralization is unlikely to be attractive to a large number of people. But nevertheless, this cryptocurrency will be used.

What exactly is the motive for Facebook creating Globalcoin? Is it part of the new world order disguised under cryptocurrency, some of us just want to make legitimate money, without an association with demonic activity. Thanks

Facebook is a successful social media platform but if they come up with a cryptocurrency that does not mean that it will be successful unless they have something unique to offer, we have a lot of coins in the market right now and we do not need another similar coin, if they can offer anything special which is not available right now, then they could be successful, we will see when they launch it and how useful it can be.

Yes, with Facebook launching its own cryptocurrency between good and bad all back again to those who developed it all and returned to their current interests in crypto, we know that Facebook is a big platform all over the world but that does not guarantee success in the crypto space, I strongly acknowledged that it was very extraordinary news after the problems that arose from last year and now they are officially issuing an argument about the launch of the project they built, I think positively here because it is for the sake of mutual progress and might lead to extraordinary hype.

In this article, there was a subtitle something like „Facebook bans all the crypto-currency adds” so it is very interesting, the two pieces don't misc.

The news had been roaming around for a few weeks now and there had been rumors about it when facebook first banned cryptocurrency ads on facebook a year ago. I think this will be great for the whole cryptocurrency market since this will push crypto adaptation and it might even influence other businesses and companies to adopt blockchain tech and make their own cryptocurrency.

yeah i heard about the news quite recently and i am quite surprised that the very same people who spoke against crypto are now thinking again. I am sure Zuckerberg has realized the potential of the blockchain technology and also the use of cryptocurrencies and now wants to implement some on his social platform.

Well he should be careful in developing a nice token economics because most projects became unsuccessful due to poor token economics.

Hmmm, interesting. There's already a cryptocurrency named Globalcoin... although it's barely alive.

Facebook already knows everything about you, so what's the harm in sending them extra personal documents to satisfy KYC requirements?  Roll Eyes
