Almost all crypto projects has either a telegram group or channel to communicate to its members and the community. Just wanted to know if Satoshi Nakamoto had either of a group or channel. Or Bitcointalk forum was the only community channel that existed among Bitcoiners?

Telegram didn't exist back then.

The first place it was discussed was the cryptography mailing list which had been going for many years already - https://satoshi.nakamotoinstitute.org/emails/cryptography/

Then it progressed to here - https://sourceforge.net/p/bitcoin/mailman/bitcoin-list/ and then this forum opened - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5.msg28#msg28

I think he used IRC on occasion but did much discussion via email.

Indeed crypto community is fond of telegram today. Telegram was launched in 2013 and took a while to become the most preferred medium by the crypto enthusiasts. There's no official telegram channel or group by Satoshi Nakamoto. If you find any it must be a scam.

I am not sure about that because I don't know if telegram existed or not.
But some members said that telegram was not available in that year so I think they will use the other chat messenger or they used IIRC to communicate.
But after the telegram was launched, I think they can communicate using the new messenger by secret (or not).

So that's it. According to my research, Telegram came into existence around August 2013 so definitely Satoshi Nakamoto could not use one but come to think of it...would he use Telegram if it was already operating back in 2008 or 2009? Maybe yes or maybe no. IRC was very popular years ago and of course we already have the email option in communication so these were two good channels for him.

Bitcoin came into existence in 2009. Except  Blackberry messenger and Yahoo messenger all other chatting apps were in their mother's womb. So, if you see any now then it is a SCAM.

Well this pretty much explain a lot and end this question,
Satoshi left without a trace back in 2010 so there is no chance that Satoshi could create a Telegram channel or group.
And I don't think that there would be a benefit if there would be one?
I mean we already have this forum so why would we need a telegram group.

I am sure there are so many chats about btc now, but one official one - sounds ridiculous, considering Btc is older than Telegram  Grin

If Telegram had been around I see no reason why Satoshi would've used it. It's a fucking useless resource for preserving discussion. I don't understand why it's become so ubiquitous in a space that should be providing discourse to refer to months or years down the line.

This is ridiculous. The white paper for Bitcoin was released in 2008, and it was first mined in 2009. The last post made by Satoshi in this forum was on December 2010. You can check yourself:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3

On the other hand, Telegram was first released in 2013, and it became popular after a few years. So there is hardly any chance of finding a Telegram channel started by Satoshi, given his preference for complete anonymity after 2010.

I think satoshi nakamoto does not have a telegram channel because since the creation of the bitcoin forum this has become a medium of information and education about bitcoin. I think this forum is more than enough when compared to telegram channels that are full of scammers.
And one more thing, bitcoin was created before the telegram existed and at that time the telegram was still in the form of sperm.

Of course not telegram what introduced a lot later than Bitcoin. How can you even imagine Satoshi having Telegram group? We can only have his conversations from this forum and previous emails. As much as we know the only thing you can care about is the white paper itself.

If fact there have been some emails published a few years ago between Satoshi and another "oldschool" guy, where Satoshi was explaining to that guy what Bitcoin should be about and the plans he had for it in the future.. and it was in a earlier stage of the project so yeah, I am more about emails being used when it came to private talks

He couldn't have done that. I think telegram became famous in the later part of cryptocurrency, in other to be able to engage the community members and help manage FUD, update on project progress. Although some have turned into a shilling group.

You are asking a stupid question, because absolutely nobody can answer it.
If people knew that the real Satoshi (not some imposter) is active on Telegram,I'm sure that this would be major news for the crypto world.

of course not, when bitcoin was born, telegram didn't even exist, as far as we know "the inventor" could actually be a group of people, it could be anyone or anyone, he could be dead before seeing the BTC acquire the value it has now. and for me it is so beautiful, it makes this coin even more fascinating

Satoshi was so busy with Bitcoin so I think he doesn't have time to make his own Telegram channel. The telegram was also created years after the creation of Bitcoin so I don't think Satoshi would trust this channel that fast.
There are also scammers who are trying to pretend as Satoshi on Telegram so if you're trying to find him there, you should be careful.

nowadays in the cryptocurrency market there are lots of shitcoins that use Telegram because it is easy to advertise their junk to newbies who follow them and create bots that spam it for them automatically. it is also easy to censor it and a lot more that helps all of these pumps, ICO scams,... do their filthy work and reach a very large number of people at once. that is why it has become popular at least in this space.
