I just received an email from Dwolla this morning, just general updates as to what they're doing, They are seeming to be making a big to-do about some kind of major change happening on December 15th here's their blog entry about it: http://blog.dwolla.com/on-december-15th-dwolla-will-change-as-we-know-it/Edit: "We think this is a necessary pivot to concentrate on the greater goal of the company, building a network" HMMM, NETWORK YOU SAY?

lol, dwolla makes an announcement that they'll be announcing something. Therefore, they're buying bitcoins!
|
Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

When you're long bitcoins and have watched them fall a very long way, any news is good news, no matter how unlikely. I hear Muammar Gaddafi was found with a USB stick in his possession. May have contained a wallet.dat...

The big change is probably something like a new $5 fee to transfer money to "concentrate on the greater goal".

Srsly guy it's just gonna be they got a new contract with a larger online shop, got an new AJAX enhanced payment processing site or something... you people can really make some humbo-jumbo out of nothing, you know how these PR types are.
Their CEO probably doesn't even know about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general and if bitcoin should ever become big enough that he would know it, it would be considered a competitor rather than a parter or a way to do business.
Stop hoping for the big players to suddenly jump on the bandwagon, bitcoin is not what they need, want or even approach. Bitcoin is something that has to grow from the roots and not even the hype scavengers of gawker can change that.

The CEO of Dwolla most definitely knows about bitcoin. I wonder if the CEO of Dwolla will actually embrace bitcoin...or is there something else he thinks could be better? I am hoping it is bitcoin but we will see.

So definitely... that means you have proof of that. The quote about that statement he made about bitcoin, lets see it. PS: I would really like to know how much percentage of their business volume is related to bitcoin / exchanges, as stated earlier: lets see it also!

Well "Now that our name popped up in a Fortune article referencing Bitcoins, the time to be silent is probably over." - Ben Milne, Dwolla founder
In a guest post on this site addressing the recent attention given to Dwolla because of Bitcoin, Dwolla founder and CEO Ben Milne wrote: "I can’t go a day without talking about it or being asked about it. Whether it's the CEO of a billion-dollar company, a friend in passing, a reporter or someone in the financial institution space … apparently, I’m the guy to ask." Yet not a single twitter post mentioning bitcoin... http://twitter.com/#!/search/realtime/bitcoin%20from%3Abpmilne http://twitter.com/#!/search/realtime/bitcoin%20from%3Adwolla Shady sources I tell you, very shady...
