Blockhain.info wallet i cant send 21 Bitcoins of my total storage!!

Hello

i have a certain amount of bitcoins . if i want to send all and click on " max " it shows me just xxx out of xxx ( -21 bitcoins )

what happened to my remaining bitcoins of 21? the value blockchain wallet shows me is the full value of all coins but if i want to move them i can only move total amount - 21 bitcoins...

please help me

You've probably hit the maximum transaction size with just a part of your inputs. You're going to want to consolidate your coins by sending them in several transactions to some of your own addresses.

If you're seriously holding more than 21 Bitcoin in a web wallet, it's highly recommended to get a much more secure storage method.

You must have the access of the 12 words seed.
If you have then download Electrum and restore the wallet in your desktop using the seed. If there are any coins then you can see them and even you can move them.

By the way, it's not blockchain.info anymore it's blockchain.com now.

so it means if i use ledger wallet to move them or restore them the chances are good that i can use all my bitcoins back again? or maybe -21 ?

i dont get it why i cant access to all my coins when i want to move them.

i alsways used priority for sending, im afraid that it took too much fees but hell, how 21 btc can be made as fees

By heart, I think the limit per transaction is 100 kByte. If you have received many hundreds of different transactions in the past, you can't fit them all in one outgoing transaction.
Think of it as a big jar of coins: you can only deposit so many at a time.

If this is the cause, you can just make 2 or more different transactions to transfer all coins.

Probably

Unless those 21 Bitcoins are watch-only, I'm no expert on blockchain.com's web wallet, but I think that's possible too.

it cant be watch only as i use my wallet from blockchain.com its no imported adress for " watch only " mode

so this case cant be plausible to my wallet


in the case i am not able to resend the remaining 21 bitcoins , then i should try to import that wallet with the remaining 21 bitcoin to a deisktop wallet like elctrum and try to check if i am able to resend them from there?

I read all the responses in between you and the user LoyceV. Since you have the 12 phrase words then I suggest you doing the following (Make sure your Computer is virus free)

- Download Eectrum from https://electrum.org/#download
- Verify the signature of the corresponding file (whichever you downloaded). Help case you don't know https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download/
- Install the Electrum file
- Now restore the wallet.



You will be asked to enter your seed in the next page. Do it and then click the "Options" button

   

Check the BIP39 seed option before pressing OK button.

Then follow the instructions on the screen until you restore the wallet.

If there is any balance you can see them in the wallet. From here you can safely transfer the coins wherever you want (Most probably to your Ledger wallet if I read right)

If the balance shows negative on the blockchain it might be a bug most of the users experience on the past but according to coinbase if you withdraw more than you have in your balance the balance will show negative.

i imported my wallet to electrum desktop wallet and it shows me all my bitcoins, which means i can send all of them right ( the 21 included it shows me left corner buttom )




and also how can i delete electrum saftely?  click on file - delete ? and i still can access to my blockchain wallet then?

What OS you are using? if you installed it in windows you can uninstall it by going to control panel>programs>uninstall a program and find the electrum then uninstall.

For Linux OS I don't much knowledge about this OS but I found this code somewhere in ubuntu forum check below it might work to uninstall the electrum wallet.

Yes, you still will be able to access your funds on the Blockchain.info wallet. You can also import your seed in Electrum again if you need it in the future.

You should be able send the coins safely. Make sure to double check your sending address and also make sure your ledger wallet seeds are not compromise. I would not bother to tell all these but after reading your post I have a feeling that you are really newbie in handling the coin. Advance excuse if I am wrong 🙂

Yes from the file menu just click delete. The .dat file will be deleted also from the recycling bin, make sure you delete it.

You can still access your blockchain wallet without any issue but since you can not use there site (I guess), you can do sending/receiving using this restored wallet BUT,

Since this wallet originated from blockchain and I do not trust any web wallet company which no one should as well, I advice then either create another Electrum wallet (perhaps a multiSig wallet 2/2 or 2/3 to have extra security of your coins, 21 coins are really a lot of Bitcoin) and send the coins to the new one or send them in your ledger wallet.

Yes, I do not see anything to stop sending. You will have full control of the wallet.

In case you want to do that (and this would be very smart move), just try to send your coins from Electrum to Ledger. In case you get similar problem as on blockchain wallet, then do not use max button but make more then one transactions.

You should also know that you can not restore blockchain wallet on Ledger just by typing seed in it, which would not be smart either because that seed is not considered safe anymore.

Just to read up above he do already import the seed on electrum and asked if he do able to sent out the bitcoin balance which is definitely a yes thing since you do have the full control
of the funds of such wallet and he might planned to transfer it into other wallet address.

For OP, since this problem of yours has been resolved.It would be much better if you do lock up this thread.
