Self-proclaimed “mad man” John McAfee is back at it again. Sticking firmly to his call for the Bitcoin price to smash past $1 million by the end of 2020, the crypto evangelist enlisted an unlikely ally in his bullish crusade: the “Bitcoin time traveler” who McAfee says has “never been wrong.”

A time traveler is hardly a convincing source, but as you can see from his famous post, he certainly has been broadly correct – so far. Back to reality for a second: It’s quite apparent that these predictions are amusingly broad. It isn’t like our “Back to the Future” friend predicted Bitcoin at $8,800 in May 2019.

Regardless, John McAfee is sold. He doesn’t care where the information comes from so long as it’s correct – and vindicates his own predictions.

While I share with him the conviction that soon bitcoin can be rising up astronomically as what many analysts have been saying all along, there is something so eccentric about John and his outlandish predictions.


John McAfee seems lining up with the company of Craig Wright in making sure that they are always in the limelight and getting the attention of the media (mainstream or not) and so they have this propensity to make claims beyond logic and reality.

Apparently a big portion of broad crypto community values opinion of this lunatic - his twitter is quite popular, and a few years ago he was pumping ICO shitcoins for money, and his services were pretty expensive.

Does John McAfee draw his predictions about the price of cryptocurrency from a time traveler? Very interesting. However, what extraordinary events should occur so that by the end of next year Bitcoin will increase in price to one million dollars? So far, I do not see such growth prospects for Bitcoin. In general, Bitcoin, in order to reach a million dollars over the remaining 19 months, must grow by an average of 50,000 dollars each month. This is unreal.

McAfee hides in jurisdictions he feels comfortable. One day he'll make a mistake and pay the price for his deeds. If people for once stopped looking up to such a scammer, he would be way less lucrative for scam projects to pay him ridiculous amounts of money. If his money runs out, his personal security will too. Who's going to hang with someone not having any money left?

Another thing is that most ICO victims are noobies. I doubt they even realize that they have been scammed. If there aren't any reports, he will enjoy a free ride and repeat his scams during the next bull run.

What bothers me even more is that some popular Bitcoiners on Twitter see him as a good guy.

However, crypto currency future price can not be predicted through mathematics and I don't know where this guys get the idea thinking they can run crypto sphere.

I like the fact that he called himself mad man as it was stated in the article because saying Bitcoin will cliche a million dollars per coin is definitely not possible when Bitcoin it yet to be mainstream and some certain are still need to be put in place either. I think what McAfee is trying to accomplish is to set a mindset that whatever value of btc below $1m is still a bargain. Because when you compare $1M value of btc that he wants people to  believe then he is exercising the mind of people that even btc reach $100k in 2020 , it is still relatively cheap. But again who knows, I did not even expect we could hit $8k in a couple of weeks when most of the speculations see it happening on the end of the year.

That's what's I'm talking about. I remember he's hyping a crypto on his Twitter. But when that crypto fail and plummeted. He quickly claimed that social media account was not his official account. From that moment, his credibility is questionable. That's why I never listen to this guy.
