[ NEED YOUR OPINION ] Fast delivery (clothes and etc.)

Hello everyone,

The reason, why I'm writing this post and sharing with Bitcointalk community - to get an opinion and criticism.
So, basically, I'm thinking now about a delivery APP, but for travelers (since a lot of people traveling from country to country everyday).

Problem:
A few days ago I tried to buy clothes, but because here no local shops in my county, the only way to get -  buy online,  where shipping to my country takes around 2 weeks + fee. But in those days, my friend was in France and planned back in 2 days, so I just asked him to help and buy clothes for me.
As a result, after 2 days I had my clothes and friend got from me 10e (which was around 33% of his ticket price). That's how this idea born.


How it will works:
After a user will create an account, he can be: a) Buyer or b) Deliveryman

As a buyer, he can create "order" with full information about product, countries where it can be purchased, delivery country and fee). After that, he should deposit the exact price of this product + fee (this will be escrowed till succeed deal).

As deliveryman, he can choose a) from global active orders or b) create own, with his trip itinerary, date, max weight, fee.
If the buyer is unable to meet deliveryman, he can left the order in the office, where then it will be shipped inside the country using local shipping companies.



It's not limited only to clothes, basically, everything that can be legally purchased and shipped (even something, that can't be purchased online). And yep, crypto accepted.

A well-structured plan is necessary. Lots of factors should be considered. Already have a list about those?

I suggest making a test run in locals first and see if it will be effective in the long run. In that way, problems, errors and any other things that might be seen in the process will be noted.

But there are 195 countries in the world, so that is a lot of custom situations.
How would you verify the buyers and deliverymen?   What happens if one smuggles drugs in some of the articles?
You would have to think of every possible way someone could scam this and automate the detection/resolution, or admin fees would make your prices too high.

harizen has the right idea - keep the delivery within the country, but you'll still be facing fines if anything illegal is shipped.

Of course, there is a large number of problems -- but remember about AIRBNB -- that service has more problems in theory, but it works quite good.

I think, that's would be a useless test, almost everything that can be purchased in one city - can be purchased in another + local shipping companies deliver everything within the country in 2 days.

But if think seriously about this idea, will be useful to run a test between a few European countries to see problems, errors and any other things.

There must be very few countries in the world where such projects would work. For instance, a person living in Brazil wouldn't choose someone in France as a delivery man since it doesn't make sense to. You and your friend were both from the EU where taxes for stuff like clothes and other local products while traveling between the EU union is zero. Wouldn't be the same if you're traveling outside of EU. But the idea fits perfectly well for countries that are next to each other. How do you manage to handle the exceptions like a faulty product or fake a one?

In my country this service is available and there are maybe some providers (I know one) but works through FB, no app afaik.

But the difference from your case is that they work for most of the online shops that don't ship to my country. So those service providers come into play and add a commission for their service.

The service was like, if I have to buy something from the USA then I will use one of their traveler's USA address (they provides) to ship the product which I'll buy online and then they will handle everything.
Another way was I have to give the link of the product with 50% advance and they will handle everything. AFAIR, it was a long time ago.

It's a good business idea for the local level, but you have to have a good amount of trusted travelers I guess.

Keeping in the same country is a way to play safe at first. Fines and taxes problems are inevitable if you are delivering to other countries.

I live in Brazil and I would love this kind of service if I could items from United States or Europe. Everything would be so much cheaper and I would have access to much better products. The problem is that we can't buy what we want here for some reasons:taxes, bureaucracy costs and other difficults if someone try to ship things here they will be heavily taxes. Even amazon is having problems here.

The main business idea is really good and I am sure there is a big market waiting for this service. Now, there is really a need to put up the necessary infrastructure though in initial testing things can be some small-time first and just scale things when the business is already seen running on the ground. With a good management skills, adequate marketing abilities and some luck at hand (and of course, necessary capital),  this idea can launch a thousand ships.
