Oh man, this thread had been peacefully dead for over 4 months, then it got bumped by a spambot, and then shitposters started picking up the conversation as if OP just posted it yesterday.

Don't you guys know that everything that could possibly be said about this situation has already been said 3 times? Please, don't chime in with your "wisdom," its embarrassing. Have an original thought in your own thread for a change.

If you do not facilitate the sending to the wallet, how come your money is sent to that address. You have not also tell us which account you are using. Are you sending from online address or desktop wallet. I have seen and hear about address hijacking threat. Are you using electrum wallet? Because people have experience this in the past. My advice is that when you are using desktop wallet, make sure you download from official website of the developer. For your sent coin, I don't think you can recover it back because it is gone. That is reason why you must double check the address before you send your coin to any wallet. I'm sorry for your pain. It is very painful though.

I noticed several people are advising OP to contact with the receiver. Truth is how would he contact him or her. It is 100% possible that the receiver may not know how this balance came to his address. If the person realize that it's a mistake by someone and if he is honest enough then may be he can return the balance but that will be once in a billion times chance.

The money is gone. And I see OP accepted it.

I don't believe I'm infected with a virus because the address didn't change and my malware software isn't finding anything. In my opinion I was using ChipMixer before I sent the bitcoin and I probably miscopied an address or misclicked or something idk. I guess its gone but its a valuable lesson, thanks for the help.

It is always advisable that double check the sending address, always do this double checking before sending your coins.

Indeed this was a good lesson and i’m glad the O.P also thinks that this was a valuable lesson. Luckily he did’t lost much more money than that.. I guess he will definitely make sure that he double checked the address from now on Smiley

This is so unfortunate and I really don't like it when newbies face some of these problems. I will just say move on and forget about retrieving it back. It is highly impossible
Once it is done, there is no turning back, just move forward because that could be waste of time to think how that happen then you are stuck on it. It really makes you down if you lost something unexpected or do nothing but still you lose it but there is a lesson behind that you should be more careful on second time around.
