I got banned yesterday for copying a post
I know what I done was wrong but I was new to the forum and I didn't know the rules
I do realize what I done was wrong , but can you please reduce the ban
I'm trying my best to post good posts in the arabic forum and I have made good merits there
please consider it for me , I break the rules only for one post

to be honest I was surprised when I saw the post that hilariousandco made

almohet is one of the few active users in the Arabic board , there are less than 10 active contributors there
he is always aiming to learn and I liked many of the posts that he made

I'm against such acts but if the ban can get reduced that would be really great for the Arabic community

Almohet88 is a good member on the Arabic board, always willing to learn and making a great effort to improve himself.

@hilariousandco, you visited recently our local board, and I am sure you noticed that there aren't too many active users. Perma-banning him doesn't do us any good.

We would be grateful if you issue a temp-ban instead of a perma-ban.

He did not ask "why was he banned?" He knows exactly why, there is another thread regarding this.


I agree with the other members, and as i mentioned on the other thread, OP made a mistake, he must be punished, but i feel that i am obligated to acknowledge his contribution in the Arabic board, and for a mistake he made a year ago and given his recent efforts I hope that he get's a temp-ban instead of perma-ban.

Mabye almohet88 make amistake...
But i think you must give him another chance ..
He is areally active member in arabic forum ...and gave us a valuable informations.. i think he spent alot of time to learn other members..and evrey thing gone in just one click!
I suggest to decrease the punishment to another one

I really don't know if this can be considered as a form of abuse to the forum. IMO it's not accepted to create a tribe to get merit; this encourage merit trades and merit begging as well.

Indeed, i don't want those people to be part of these wonderful community. So i can't support the appeal for his unbann, even he used to be "somehow" a good forum user or belongs to the few active profiles in arab board. I think he should receive a lot of red tags with his clowns.

However, i see nothing wrong with it , to sum up his long message he gave a detailed explanation on the merit system, asked other members to participate with quality posts about something they are good at and encouraged them to distribute merit among each other in a fair manner , he also mentioned that if  they chose to copy and paste they must reference the sources.

I honestly see nothing wrong with his statements, he was not buying or selling Merit, at least the messages you posted don't state so.

Also by looking at his Merit transactions, most were sent/received from and to known members including Sygambler, Khalid0111 ,hugeblack and myself.

Honestly i don't even know why did you bring this up anyway.

I think it's wrong to publish your profile inside or outside the forum for users to send you merits.

Ok, then let's make a group (me and you and who wants to join) to limit the circulation of merits just between us. As one of them said: why give it to foreigners/strangers.

I don't have anything against those guys and i don't even know why they are doing this like this, as they are already banned. But i think it's not apropriate to create a group to manage your activity.

Who told you that this is relevant to the ban!? I don't have proofs about merits being traded but those behaviours (as explained) may encourage merit begging and trade as well, IMO. I didn't accuse anybody to be a merit seller because I still don't have valid proofs, but I said that those groups managing their activities in btt can do more. One of the comments in the discussion: give me one and give you one ( isn't this considered as merit exchange?)

Who told you that OP is responsible for what others say? Op is the manager of that chat group and he suggested to exchange merits between each other. He is responsible on what happens in his channel.

I wish more users read this and give their opinions. I don't really like the way how am defending my position against what you say, while the arguments in my posts are pretty clear. If that group isn't doing anything wrong, then am so sorry and all my apologizes to all of you who read my comments. If not, then it's OK 🤗

Reminder: some users show a support to Op, I post my notes to say that he doesn't really deserve to be supported and it's opened for discussion. Now, I wish other users to confirm or deny my point of view.
Mickeywith, there is nothing against any of those users (many of them are already banned for other reasons) or against the Arabic board. I just think it's more appropriate to show those mistakes to others so everybody can get a lesson. When I get more solid proofs I will post it in a Reputation thread and accuse them to create a merit network. But what I posted is a try to show my perspective about supporting a kicked user in a ban-appeal thread. Anyway, the ban reason is plagiarism, you can focus on this and ignore what i say because it's not really important (as you confirmed).

This statement was not written by the OP , you need to focus on the chat you posted, serious claims like these should be carefully addressed, as i said everything you posted here does not convict OP of breaking any rules, maybe you have the proof somewhere , but whatever you posted here is not a proof of anything aside from OP having a chit chat with some random dudes.
