In my own opinion, bitcoin hard fork coins are just trash. There is only one legit bitcoin and that is bitcoin core. Hard fork coins are famous before since you get them free depending on the amount of btc you have in a certain wallet if it supports the fork. There had been a lot of forks and altcoins claiming to be the real bitcoin.

The news you linked seems to be a paid promotion. So, there was a goldcoin no one was aware of and now they just want to fork bitcoin to get some buzz about their coin.
Though could be an option for to grab quick profit, it would not be a profitable coin for long term. I'm not still clear what the Reverse Bitcoin Hardfork is but I think they'll swap their coins one way or other.

sorry to be blunt but the answer is only if you are a big idiot.

this altcoin is clearly another shitcoin that is copying bitcoin like the hundreds of them that were so hot in 2017 and 90% of them are already dead. coins like this only have one purpose, and that is to make the creators of them rich. there may be some pumps but investing in such things is investing in a manipulation and i don't need to explain how silly that is!

with that said they are clearly spending a lot of money advertising this shitcoin so they may also pump it initially by injecting a lot of money in it but care must be taken as shitcoins like this get dumped hard too.

nothing really, it is just their way of including the name of "bitcoin" in their useless shitcoin in an attempt to get it hyped. otherwise the only relationship it has with bitcoin is that it is copying it.

The article looks legit and they are adding a popular coder in their team there could be a future in this coin but people have had enough of too many forks, so my advice is to invest only on what you can afford to lose, if the community support is established then you are on your way to making profit.

Don't be fooled by buying bitcoin core as someone actually made a bitcoin core coin! Just stick with bitcoin, litecoin, and perhaps a few in bitcoin cash. RBH is just another shitcoin which doesn't do anything.

In crypto, always invest what you afford to lose. Always. No matter how good it sounds.
Also research. A lot. Make sure you don't invest by some random advertising.
If you don't follow these basic rules you may end up sleeping under a bridge.

Now, this particular coin is just another fork. I wouldn't expect too much of it, but hey, it's your money. Follow the basic rules I've shown you and do as you think it's best.
And obviously don't take loan.

I doubt if it's a good investment. See the likes of BCD, BTG with fake promises which never get fulfilled. All these bitcoin hardfork coins to me ain't necessary, people just use that means to push their coins to a wide array of crypto enthusiasts, then make money.

If it's already an established platform, why would they be forking bitcoin? I had never heard about goldcoin unless they coined a stupid term called Reverse Bitcoin Hardfork. They just want to attract attention towards their shitty coin. And for that they need the name of bitcoin. Bit is more popular than gold.

The people in the world of cryptocurrency has now slowly matures so we can not anymore be led to believe something which is outdated and sometimes baseless. In this regard, we don't give value anymore to hard-fork of bitcoin like it has some real value. Now, I am not saying that RBH will not have any value because most of the potential of the project hinges on the team behind it...and though hypes can be pivotal at the end of the day real value will show up once the project is put under the light of analysis so I guess I am advising you to take a look closer before jumping into it.

So you're having high hopes for a shitcoin that wants to merge with bitcoin instead of forking from it? I agree this is innovative and could be popular because it's the first of its kind but is it going to be profitable? It's still going to be a shitcoin in the end. Taking loan to invest in cryptocurrencies is one of the most irresponsible things to do in crypto world.
This is "fear of losing out" kind of behavior that has ruined many in the past.

Wouldn't encourage taking loan at all, whether you are a good risktaker, wealthy or not.
