What do you think about store bitcoin in Xapo vault

According to claims - bitcoin in vault get insured against all type of thefts and loss (caused by them).

So, it is good choice to store your bitcoins in their vault .. Though, they take 0.12% fees yearly - i don't have problem in giving that till my bitcoins are secure against all type of loss.

& their front-end is not so secure according to my check - but i have contacted them already about it ( Waiting for their reply).

I like some of their ideas, but the thefts they don't cover, seems to be the ones that occur on a daily basis (with keyloggers and stolen passwords)

I can probably do better security at a cheaper cost, with key splitting, encryption and P2SH addresses. I think they are just trying to profit on misinformation.

well, i don't have much problem with them. Rather i need some better online wallet - as i don't like offline wallet. Nor i am in mood of taking them out in paper wallets. Because i like them online much not in view of security rather cz of my lazyness Tongue

I can even do that - just my lazyness .. SO i was finding some better online wallets secured at backend.. Though, xapo is not secure in front-end.

This card is total garbage. They will request ID/verification, report your funds to the IRS and FinCEN, block certain countries, and it might not even work.  Where is their card right now?  Not available. You have to sign up to 'pre-order'.

If you want the only REAL and WORKING Bitcoin Debit Card in existence, use https://BitPlastic.com

ALL COUNTRIES OK, no Identity verifications, and IT WORKS ...

Yeah...such a site may be great for institutional holders, but for private citizens I believe it beats the purpose of BTC, being able to own the private key.

Even if you own perfectly legal coins, who says they cannot BECOME illegal overnight? It would be highly stupid to hand over coins to some company that can lock them at the governments request! Remember that is what happened to bank vaults when gold was outlawed in America in 1933.

Gold at home was illegal but still there. Gold in vaults was stolen by the feds.

So such companies protect your coins from private thieves but make them accessible to federal thieves.  Sad

Truth is the new hatespeech.
