If voting systems are created on the basis of blockchain technologies, then it is possible and possible to obtain reliable voting results without falsification.

Does any country use blockchain for election or voting? I know there are many countries who afraid of implementing blockchain into its sytem because then everything will be clear. All the same, the blockchain is precisely created so that it cannot be changed from the outside, and in order to ensure complete security and confidentiality of data. It would be interesting to participate in the elections via the online voting platform.
It would be good and i do think this system is really needed in every voting system. It would be easier to calculate and it would be harder to manipulate so i do think its more transparant and more faster. I do think this is really good for my country indonesia, which is the election become major problem here cause some people think the election has been cheated and they not trust the results.

Blockchain could be used as an extra guarantee to assure the correct results. But I think the vote has to be presential. If we want to avoid manipulation there couldn't be people voting through apps from anywhere, this way there will be always a possibility of fraud and then there is no reason to use blockchain.

Firstly, I don't know any countries that implement blockchain technology in their voting system and they still prefer bad companies like Smartmatic. And there are a lot of problems when it comes to the voting system of our country. They say that blockchain can stop tampering of information but it won't solve problems. But I think blockchain can lessen some of the big problems in these voting systems.
I guess we need to look at how the infrastructure is being set-up in your country. I don't know how many times your country has been using this services, but it seems they need to be replace by someone so that these kind of problems will be eliminated. I'm all in for blockchain to be used in election, as long as the government is prepared and not just because they just wanted to ride the hype around this technology, specially developing countries.

No, polling will always have to take place under third party eyes and constraints. Online or remote voting via apps is shit, mail in ballots are sketchy enough to me. Wasn't that what I said? People need to vote on the spot to prevent fraud.

Currently there is no country that has developed a sytem based on blockchain technology for national voting but i have read about some countries using mobile applications to vote within institutions and other smaller countries. Even though these countries have plans on using this technology to perform national voting i think it's going to be a herculean task looking at all the negativity towards blockchain technology.

i don't think that there would be any country that will allow their citizens to vote via a decentralized platform. They don't want transparency apparently so they will try to hide the process as much as they can. My question is when this voting will take place in the blockchain, what makes the nodes to be trusted?

No, i've never seen any country use this for their election, maybe they won't even use it, you know it's not that politics is hard. maybe it should be admitted that election requires transparency but the blockchain is not a solution to various problems. If any government know how transparency blockchain is, they wouldn't recommend this to the election. They afraid not being elected again.

So far the only known country to have officially used blockchain technology to its election is Thailand, however this isn't tested in the general election but through a party election for their democratic party. The election was reportedly to be successful and there were no faults found with the system. Now I am seeing news that they will implement this next with their general elections, the bad thing about this is I've been seeing news that they'll be allowing home voting for their citizens which I think will be the biggest fault in the system in terms of transparency. Even if they implement a trusty blockchain based voting system but they can't monitor and facilitate the voters their new system will be useless, I won't sacrifice security for convenience for the fairness of the election.

On a full-blown election, I don't think that there are countries with blockchain-ready systems to accommodate an election so big. Perhaps on mock elections and small-scale elections the tech could be used, but I can't imagine it being used on a national scale so much that the fate of the whole country is rested upon. Perhaps they can only use this on the counting and transmitting of votes but not on the actual voting per se, as most citizens would surely be confused for the first time if a country is to shift its voting process overnight. So far the only known country to have officially used blockchain technology to its election is Thailand, however this isn't tested in the general election but through a party election for their democratic party. What I'm interested in is how would they develop the blockchain to handle stress, especially during the transmission of votes and the counting of votes as well.

Honestly, I used to pursue and convince people that blockchain is really the answer/solution to this major problem in politics. Blockchain technology is really the best opportunity to make election safe, secure and accurate. However, ignorance always wins against innovation and possibilities. They are keeping their minds close and wanted their egos to dominate and that is the reason why we are losing with these fights.

The only place were I've heard something about Blockchain voting is in a TV series called ,, Billions'' where a governor wanted to implement this so that vote can't be manipulated anymore. I've never seen or read any news I'm the real life about a country thinking about implementing Blockchain in their election system and that's probably because most governments are corrupt and they know if that gets approved they can't manipulate the voting system anymore in their favor.
So there is none really, maybe because if they did such they could be overthrown in their position. I see how powerful is Blockchain being used in a voting season. Especially places where vote buying and ghost voters are rampant like here in our country. Imagine people who have already died long years ago does vote, how come?

I think no company has tried to use Blockchain technology in their vote counting machines. It woukd be a nice project however, imagine that it will be used only if there are elections and elections dont happen every year or every other year so I guess they would rather stick to what they have right now.

There were several news in the past about some countries introducing blockchain voting, most turned out to be false. It'd be surprising if any government accepts public blockchain voting ... not with private blockchain nor other secretive stuff. The technology is possible but none ever discusses it

It is indeed very good and suitable to be applied to voting activities to determine the number of votes, of course this is very necessary for election activities that require high integrity in vote counting, with blockchain technology that is transparent and cannot be manipulated we can run elections with high integrity and quality

If you search Kenya, if I'm not mistaken, you used a vote through Blockchain. But, cryptos like Decred and others have been doing this for a long time.

I would love to see this implemented in our country but I think there are some constraints that will allow the use of blockchain for elections. Like there should be secrecy on a person's vote. If we use blockchain, everything can be seen in the blockchain. Then there are concerns for tx fees and confirmation time because there will be influx on transactions on the day of the election.

Sounds like a good idea however, correct me if I am wrong on my understand, using Blockchain technology in voting would make voting reliant on internet and continuous supply of electricity. Without this two (internet and electricity) does that mean voting or elections will be postponed? Does that also mean anyone with access to this two can sabotage the elections or voting process.

I have not heard that there is a country where use blockchain for voting. I have not heard any news that it has been done in any country. Yes may be in the future, but till now I know that nothing has happened and if someone knows something like this, then share it.

using the blockchain system as a vote app, I've heard this idea but so far I don't know anyone has implemented it. which I know the government has an vote application and there are independent parties who also do calculations. both calculations are not integrated and are only used as a correction tool. actually if integrated it can be said as a mini blockchain network.
