Titanfall review – futuristic, fantastic, but not revolutionary

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/mar/14/titanfall-review-respawn-xbox-pc

"The debut game from Respawn Entertainment blends a love of Japanese mech animations with an unrivaled knowledge of first-person shooter dynamics."

I personally didn't buy it. I have a feeling it will die faster than Crysis 3 did.

Plus, there is no server browser, no in-game friend list, no clan tags, no (easy way) to squad up.

From a first look and a few beta gameplays it just seemed like another mech game...

After I watched both videos from TB

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fv9uuQ3T69E
and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTA0XsPetEA

I decided not to play it. It looks like a nice game, but basicly its just another "modern day shooter" with mechs.

Maybe Ill pick it up when its cheaper and available outside origin.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

I really doubt it'll get out of Origin any time soon. Most games debuting there now don't usually go up in other content delivery systems.

Yeah Sad

Probably wont be available for PS4 either. Not sure why they would limit people to play games with their stupid DRM. In a sense Steam is the same, but I never had a problem playing my games on steam.
Sorry dont want to derail the thread with an origin rant.

Titanfall is repetitive, it had an amazing launch with lots of hype around it but it was plain old boring after awhile. Their idea is not even revolutionary, we saw the mech aspect in Blacklight Retribution. But it does set a new bar for gaming.

Another addition to the over saturated FPS market. I'm waiting for the next Battlefield installment only thing worth playing.
