Is anonymous betting a desired feature?

Call it decentralized betting instead of anonymous betting.
I've had been playing a lot at DirectBet when it used to be the no.1 choice of every gambler out there who wanted to gamble their coins (even on dice and a small casino type as well) with sportsbook feature making it a killing all in one shot kinda website where no registrations were needed to play. I'd really love to do on-chain betting with instant results and immediate withdrawals to my desired addresses, the only reason why I stopped gambling is this - I see no such websites anymore.  
Btw, for your information, I love soccer myself a lot and had once a thread related to some soccer bets with huge odds and most of them used to be wins.

No allow registration bet, is good thing. Like Directbet in past, we can make account in their casino or bet directly in their website. I think it is good because i can see a lot of people play in there.

Well, technically and if you will have your own feasibility studies. 90% of the gamblers would prefer anonymous betting and it is because they would like to protect and secure their identity while playing under the table. However, there will be a big risk that you need to solve first before executing that decision. An anonymous person could manipulate the game or take advantage of your site.

Truely speaking no site is completely anonymous because they do log your IP and location but obviously thats for their own purpose and is not going to be used against you unless you do something shady through their casino.

The accusations that call a casino unethical for asking KYC are mostly a fault on the part of the player who tried to offshore money from tainted sources and used the casino is a transit wallet. Anonymity is a good thing for the gamblers but obviously these criminals try to abuse it for doing such work. It is something that drove the crypto industry to a big time money maker in gambling.

Directbet back then can be used without registration but they have the option for Email registration in their system to take privileges of the advantages. Gamblers did not just prefer this site because of a no-registration feature but payments there is instant as long as the bet is settled won.

Since it's been a while that there's no site like that, gamblers are now used to it so a simple email requirement should be fine at your site. It's easy as 1,2 and 3 and can be used for account recovery, payment slip history, betting history references, etc.

No need to implement a whole KYC system as gambling is different from the usual decentralized system that most crypto exchanges are now. In case of problems, minor or major, your team should be ready in investigating technical matters without asking KYC in the end.

Many people chosen crypto gambling for anonymity so having such feature will be welcomed but it is better to have simple registration process with no personal verification which can be really helpful to recover if someone lost access to their account which might had huge amount of funds in it.

The main anonymous factor is that they want to secure themselves without having to look further and there may be misuse of data if many people enter fake gambling sites, indeed this is a lot that many people talk about when choosing to remain anonymous or KYC, all back to them how they will use the site and many sites remain anonymous but still safe and playing well, maybe KYC is better for some people with all the trust of players and even gambling sites.

As long as the player has the option to not accept the odds when they often double during live matches I am all for this.
Anonymous betting is a nice perk to have but I am not against a kyc if deemed necessary

Well, Most people here prefer an anonymous kind of gaming space where they can have the privacy, I guess we can say that this is a good feature for the security of the player and the convenient of any player that wants to be sure that he would not blow up his cover when he doesn't like any gossip around about himself, But this is also an indication for bad people or scammers to surely abuse this kind of feature, And the players age would not be restricted if he or she doesn't have the right age in playing on a gambling site, I guess this feature of anonymity have a good side and a bad side depending on who's using it.  

True enough, there are two sides of the story here.
So for now, it is up to the dev to test the waters in this endeavor.
And since his doing the poll as well, he can get the feel of the community towards this feature.

of the story, crypto gamblers loves being anonymous as it is the reason of playing using this industry, else, there's a lots of license casinos who uses fiat that required  being fully verified and be more secured while playing inside the house.

I think if you want to be a serious sports bet provider, you should aim to be regulated, and it means that KYC/AML is inevitable. Of course, bettors want to be anonymous (including me) to get rid of the hassle when withdrawing money.

Other than abuse as mentioned by @Pmalek, anonymous casino prone to the government takedown, licensing, and other trust problems.

Yes it is true that most gamblers want to be anonymous but if you want to be a successful sportsbet provider I think it is best to be regulated to avoid any complications in the long run or even closure like directbet. Before you decide what to do make sure to know it's pros and cons do a lot of research and weigh which is better, besides it's not only anonymity is the factor a gambler will look at a betting site.

If you have heard about directbet that was the site which offer betting on all sports without having to get registered on the site. Although they have been closed down but the directbet users are still missing that site. No other site offer such feature of betting without registration.
If you can establish such a betting site, you will attract a lot of users towards your site.

I agree, it will really attract gamblers because most of us including me really want anynomity, for me it is the main factor that I want because having KYC might be very hassle and complication. I think most of directbet user still misses he site maybe you will be the next to directbet.

Most gamblers of course want to remain anonymous for various reasons, it's just that with no verification the business can be used for shady transactions and the government can just shut it down anyway.

It opens up room for abuse. If there is no type of regulation or KYC what would prevent a football team from a lower division to bet on their own match and earn money from their loss? If the site offers anonymous betting there is no way of knowing who made the bets without following the money trail.

This is a valid concern. Even with email verification, they can simply get someone to use multiple accounts to bet. I mean, we've seen Like farms before.

From the user's point of view, anonymous betting is a desirable feature because we can make bets secretly. If it's available like what has been done with Directbet in the past, surely sites with such features can get a lot of attention from sports bettors. Yes, of course, that will give an easier way to the gambler to place the bets without registering themselves into the gambling site. They only need to use their wallet as the ID on the site and besides that, the site can directly to send the win money if somehow, that gamblers can win the game.

I think that will attract more player to use that site because they can gamble with anonymous and I am sure that they will like to stay on that site. They don't have to think about KYC or using their email to register in that site, and they can play without anybody knows who are they and the best is, they can stay behind the wall.

Its rare to have a problems when you are playing on a really good gambling site but if ever there is a problem , you can still contact their support and you will still be given an i.d whenever you play anonymously , that i.d will be used when you have issues on the site  .  all of the gambling site that i visited nowadays are all have an anonymous feature  .  that saves hassel from regristration aside from anonimity  .

Anonymous betting will attract gamblers that always want to hide they identity. Since it will attract so many people you may be unlucky and get evil people into you gambling site. They might hack your sites and some of them may play and win and used the money for evil or terrorism.
