I know ICO's were a thing back in 2017, but are there any reasons why one might still do one today? I'm a game developer with experience in crypto and I'm looking to leverage my experience in both. I know that app stores want to keep in-game transactions within their store, so they get the cut, but can this, perhaps, be remedied with web assembly or game streaming services?

Game streaming services? you want to create a platform that no cut from the owner of the site which can be you?

Streaming and gaming is of trend of this year and I think this is just the beginning of it and possibly can go farther than we are expecting.

Tell us more about your idea.

Please explore more of your ideas and then determine its market viability. Game streaming services is considered as the future of gaming and I am sure that this can be a very competitive market with many big players all vying for share of the action. Now, as to doing an ICO that is already frowned upon right now but I am suggesting instead to work with a crowdfunding platform maybe similar to IndieGogo. I am wishing you success!

I think you need to create a game in which people will buy things and items for cryptocurrency and your own token. You do not need to conduct an ICO since it is outdated. You need IEO.

there are some projects that go in this direction. so games where cheating is impossible and
also the topic VR plays a big role here. currently it is not as easy as 2017 per ico million to take.

Well, by the time he creates his game the IEO will also become antiquated because the fundraising formats change very quickly

It actually depends on what you are bringing to table and how you are bringing it, the main reason a lot of investors including myself don't invest in ICO anymore is not because it has lasted for so long and they want to try something new, but because the team behind the projects are always anonymous since their goal is to make away with people's money and not deliver the project, just be plain and you will surely succeed.

The reason is a new development will always appear to replace the old product. The trend is always moving and that will always give us a chance. Did you mean to create a web that will be used to manage all of the in a game transaction? Is this just like p2p and the site act like a middle man? I knew about that but the stores were dominating the gaming market until there will be a service that was offering a better feature than the store.

For me, it is still not completely clear how cryptocurrencies and games can successfully interact with each other. Everything I've seen looks pathetic.
