Multiple sources are expecting Facebook to launch its stablecoin on June 18, IT and fintech magazine TechCrunch reported on June 6.

Citing people familiar with the plans, the publication added strength to existing suggestions from both within and outside the company that its secretive cryptocurrency project would appear this month.

Previously, rumors had suggested it would be 2020 before Facebook made a commitment to bring its product, which should focus on remittances, to market.

“It’s currently scheduled for a June 18th release of a white paper explaining its cryptocurrency’s basics,” TechCrunch states.

That date had also come from Laura McCracken, Facebook’s Head of Financial Services & Payment Partnerships for Northern Europe, who said in an interview with German finance magazine Wirtschaftswoche this week the stablecoin would not only involve a U.S. dollar peg.

All the news about Facebook's crypto money is just a rumor. So there's still no official explanation. It is still walking through gossip processes.

Will this really happen?
can this news be trusted? I think this is just a rumor that was deliberately made for a specific purpose. or to pump or drop a price. those who regulate the situation for personal or group interests

from the end to mid 2017-2018 then Facebook banned crypto ads on the timeline, and now wants to adopt blockchain as a transaction tool. I support this positive flow as a Facebook user for the community and marketplace

Interesting news. I think it doesn't matter if Facebook will make crypto with basic stablecoin or crypto which has high volatility. This is only news that is still basic and we are only loyal readers for now. Let's wait for the good news for the next, because I will patiently wait and of course support with pride. Thank you for the interesting news today.

It is really great. It seems that Mark and his colleagues are eager to join the crypto market to look for new and better deals.
participating in the crypto market will help Facebook a lot in the future. Payment services will become easier, new partners can provide Facebook with newer technologies.
Mark will learn a lot after a while working in the crypto market. Let's wait and see the future facebook.

Is Facebook coin really a cryptocurrency? It doesn´t have a public blockchain, there will be no miners who can participate on network´s security, so the network will be supervised only by Facebook company. And the investment potentional? Zero - stablecoin..  Roll Eyes
