I thought that facebook coin will be launching this year? I'm not sure why he's tackling about facebook coin to defeat other altcoins like XRP, well I don't have XRP on my stash but it still leads him to say that bitcoin will drive crazy because of fb's coin. That's what I like with what he said, I don't care with those alts as long as it will be beneficial for bitcoin.

Globalcoin is making investors feverish because of it. It is actually run by one of the most talented CEOs and backed by Facebook (a very large technology enterprise).
The potential that they can defeat XRP in the future is huge. If their plans go in the right direction, I think Globalcoin will quickly be in the top 5 of the cryptocurrency market.

I need to first ask, who in the world is using Ripple, most of the claims are just for banks testing it, I am never in favour of Ripple because their business model seems dark and not transparent, We need to wait and see what Facebook coin would offer until we start speculating, the only advantage they have is that they have the huge userbase which is a very great thing to have for a business to work out fine

No matter what will happen to the ripple, whether ripple annihilate will have a negative impact on the market, I don't think so. I have no idea about the annihilation between altcoins, because listening to them is absurd. Each altcoins represents a different service of them, we cannot compare between such altcoins.
But I believe that Mark's Globalcoin will be welcomed by many investors and pushed its value many times in the future.
I have heard that they will start publicizing the whitepaper on June 18, just wait and see.

XRP has years of development behind it and some really good tech and Ripple has built some really innovative solutions. XRP will I think become the standard for fast cheap international payments.
Facebook coin has a big company behind it, but has offered zero indication that it will try to offer the same solutions as XRP.

Ripple has neither innovative technology nor will XRP ever be used by big banks due to its volatility. XRP had its chances in 2016 when they met an agreement with R3 (the top 21 banks worldwide) but failed to deliver and ended up in front of the court. This door is closed in my opinion. Additionally, XRP has a massive competitor on the banking sector: JPM coin which currently is already getting adopted by large Canadian banks

I think so consider that will be more useful rather than ripple in so many aspects. As far as i know the facebook stable coin will also annihilate another stable coin like binance stablecoin, tether, TUSD, etc.
When a major player has already joined and this player will try to create a big monopoly and when it was getting a big success and then facebook will try to create so many business in various sector.

I agree with you, because I also see no reason to compare these coins, but people tend to make comparisons. People often say that some new coin will kill all the other coins, but this never happens because they forget that a community that simply does not throw a coin and does not go to FB Coin, is behind any coin.

Compare it to USDT, USDC, DAI. It won't annihilate anything. Did you try to look what is GlobalCoin before creating this topic?

I never think it in this way and I thought both were established on different ideas. Ripple is the third coins based on market capitalisation and I don’t think Facebook will be a treat to ripples because it has a very strong foundation and some banks are behind it. If Facebook coins is going to have negative effects, it is going to affect every other coins through capital flow and not through technology .

Facebook's coin is just a stable coin that they will use for sucking up all of our purchasing activity in order to feed it into their behavioural modelling algorithms and then sell on to third parties.
I'm not really sure how it competes with XRP as its focus seems to be on a completely different area.

Ripple is just a shitcoin without any use that has a centralized company behind it that owns 100% of the premined coins which is the whole supply. every now and then they start pumping their useless shitcoin and make a couple of thousand dollars before dumping it again.

Lol, Maybe FB's GlobalCoin will be successful, but annihilate Ripple? Just some friendly competition perhaps, but we all know that if we have competitions around, the product is being improved, so let's see how this battle of centralised coin will go in the future.
