Up until now I've resisted storing data on line

Financial information
Personal Information
Letters
Photos
Email
Etc...

But, keeping it on line would be SO much easier.

I'm resisting because I'm a privacy nerd.

How do all you keep your data? Is there a good way of keeping your files on line private?

The data needs to be easily accessible - such as Google Drive (although I hate Google and would like to avoid them)

And, I'm not too fond of Amazon either.   Grin

I do not store my data online either except for stuff few non-personal stuff like rare apk files, pics and , songs . I store most things offline, I wont say exactly where.
I hardly even take pictures or videos of myself. so I do not have any of those stored online anywhere.

If you are that paranoid then yes, what you are doing are correct. You wouldn't believed, yes I have social media accounts but I don't exposed my real pictures on them. Because I know that sooner or later, it might bring more harm that good. Although I have facebook, I haven't log on for so long, like 3 years already and I don't update it, actually I take down all my personal stuff and pictures.

You can encrypt the data before storing it on the cloud. You can encrypt it either manually or with an encryption service that is compatible with your cloud service.

encryption services:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/cryptsync-sk/

Storing your details in only is very good method for access in every time when you needed but the problem is it is only so everyone can access it if they can know something from you that is the effective things but if you don't put any sensitive things will be more self safe and helpful for you.

The more riskier in storing the online is don't it put the bank details or any other sensitive images that is the only thing I regret from store in the online otherwise it is a good way for everyone to keep your details for your future is more important.

So far 2FA is the last border, but anyway everyone should keep online some most frequently info only.
Btw - changing passes is quite a nice habit for each 2-3 months

I'm fine with local storage. Privacy techniques are just protection made also by HUMAN. It doesn't matter how private that would be because persistent human called hackers will still find ways to penetrate into it if they wanted. I'm saying this because once you connect to the internet, you already given the outside world access to your system because this links your device and any other  on the internet. So, it's better to be local

In my opinion it is a very bad idea to store data online, keep them on a HDD or a HQ Disc
