Of course, most attacks are conducted online since it's easier and vulnerabilities may be present in the system of the victim. Especially if one uses pirated softwares, embedded with keyloggers or clipboard fetching softwares. If one's not so careful, he might be fooled by some phishing sites. There's no 100% secure system, it really depends on the user's carefulness on handling transactions. As long as you don't install anything malicious, connect using secure networks only, and be alert on online activity, you'll be fine.

if you keep a private key, it is better to write it in a notebook. if you want to store the token safely and have no money on Trezor or similar. you should download the coin wallet, throw it on a flash drive and store tokens there.
Yes as long as you have your private key, you can assure your crypto investment. Even if your own hardware wallet will be damaged, you can still open it with the same hardware wallet using the same private key to access your wallet. It is safe because it is accessible offline. Every information of your wallet will not be leaked to anyone who tries to hack your private key because it also has a PIN which is needed before having a full access of the wallet.

It is safe thogh you have it with you physically but the downside of it is it when you lost in somewhere and cannot be found anymore. On the other hand, software wallets is somehow good since it plays along with the account itself so, you have the concurrent access with it, and at the same you can have multiple views. What I mean to say is that you have the access in different platforms unlike the hardware wallet. But the thing is software wallets is prone to hacking, while the other one isn't but prone to losing it physically.

I personally think it is safe as an offline wallet offers the highest level of security for storing crypto is it involves storing the funds in a secured place that is not connected to any network. This type of wallet can also offer good protection against computer vulnerabilities. The hardware wallets are the best type of offline wallet that offers very high security and ease of use. Also, as these wallets allow backup, you can easily recover your funds if you lose this device.
One such example of a hardware wallet is Trezor. It operates as secure cold storage. You can easily transfer bitcoins to the device using the Trezor interface, which is accessible from macOS, Linux, Windows, and Android. Its interface is quite easy to use that lists your coins and recent transactions.
Trezor uses a 12 to 24-word seed for protection and recovery and a user-defined PIN. You can also add an encrypted passphrase to your wallet for an added layer of security.
what say u?
There is no doubt about the safety of our funds in a hardware wallet. I bought a hardware wallet for safety purposes, all of my funds are in my hardware wallet. I can ensure that there is no one who can hack my funds inside my wallet.

Why is this sudden concern about the hardware wallets? I have never used them (partly because purchasing them here in India is not very economical. I need to spend $250 to purchase a Trezor wallet which costs $100 in other countries). I have never heard about hardware wallets getting hacked and the coins stolen from them. The most frequent complaint that I have heard is the coins getting lost, as a result of the user forgetting his password or private key. But in this case, the user should blame himself for the carelessness and it won't be fair to blame the wallet for that. It is a very basic thing to store multiple backups if you are using a hardware wallet.

yes you are right a hardware wallet is a safe way to store our bitcoins. if something bad happens to our computer bitcoin we will stay safe. even I heard there are some hardware wallets made by Butterflylabs that can avoid the dangers of viruses, hardiness and waterproof. as long as we store the seeds well. our crypto wallet will be safe.

Purchasing a well established hardware wallet should be a no brainer for everyone that is holding a hefty amount of crypto funds, even if that bag is worth only 500$. Brute force attacks on hardware wallets are rare, so if you are not totally reckless with it, you should not worry about it, but be sure to purchase it from the official sources and not some shady ones via whom you could save 10 or 20 bucks.

Do that mean both physical and online wallet does not guaranteed safe at all when proper handling will be missed out? I think we must observe to which of the two will be compatible on your preference. For now, we should choose whether it's a hardware wallet or an online wallet, as long as there's confidentiality of those important keys which potentially be breached out of your security.

Hardware wallets are very safe when compared to App wallet or web wallet, as long as you keep your seed safe, then you are also safe. In cases where you can't get the hardware wallet and you are using app or web wallet, make sure to protect your private keys and also avoid clicking on phishing sites which may lead to your wallet.

Saving the seed words are also dangerous though. You should just write down the seed into a paper and save the paper in a safe place but easy to reach. And your wallet will be quite safe, but still not safe as hardware wallet

Most of the people I know that uses hardware wallet are always encrypting their seedkey with any means and adding security measures for their seed. However, it just seems not worth it for people with cryptos' value that equals to pennies that's just simply wasting time. Although using hardware wallet is highly recommended for people with a low amount of money a desktop wallet should fulfill all the needs.

Definitely much better than browser or desktop wallets. But on the other think I believe it is still better to keep your funds on 20 exchanges and wallets instead of holding everything in one basket. Always use diversification to reduce the risks

I'd rather just store in 3 - 4 exchange those are really legit if I want to store it in exchanges.

Yes, hardware wallets sure is safe. Just be sure to hide the seed so that no one could open your wallet. That is the safest wallet of all. There were some people advising us not to put your seed in your pc, because once a virus goes in, it may harm your wallet.

It is not a good idea to store your wallet seed inside your desktop especially when it is always connected to the internet. You should store it offline and keep it safe and dry and also away from people that can use the seed and bypass your wallet. You should not share it to anyone unless you are dying and you want to give it or pass it to another person that you trust.

Hardware wallet is very safe to store your keys. But, no system is safe, keep your hardware to safest place. Not your keys not your wallet
Both software and hardware wallet is safe in order to store our keys, it only depends on how we will take care of our keys in order for us to be safe on losing some money. Yes, it is true that no system is safe for hackers and we all know that because although the system is hardly secured a hacker will also have a way on how they will take down the system and steal our money. So that it reminds me that we must be always careful about storing our wallets in the safest place as possible, and we must really secure our keys and wallet and avoid clicking phishing websites in order for our money to be safe.

Hardware wallets are quite safe to store your coins. I am also using Trezor to avoid any mishappening. It's not easy to hack the hardware wallet until and unless you attached it with the system. One thing I would also add always keep safe your 12-24 digit word seed.
