So.. XRP as an investment. Short term, probably? Assuming the XRP Twitter trolls successfully shove XRP down people's throats and cause the prices to pump. Long term though? That's probably where I'm going to disagree. I'm still not pretty sure why banks would actually use XRP, as the only good thing I could see with XRP is the high liquidity, and that's pretty much it.

I will never recommend anyone to invest in XRP because it is centralized and who need XRP when you have Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the best bet if you want your investment to go to the moon.

The first thing that comes to mind when I read your writings is that you are not following the market. It's been a long time since I passed Ethereum Ripple again.

I also understand that you know Ripple through some information. This is just part of the real thing. What makes Ripple important is that, like other coins on the market, there is no effort to be decentralized. Therefore, they are different from many other projects. But for most of us, the biggest problem arises here. I have been following XRP since the first step in the market. And I have never recommended anyone near me to buy it. This is the most suitable coin for manipulation!

I strongly agree with pakhitheboss. The problem with a centralized coin is that even if you are right that it's potential is huge and the price will grow naturally, you cannot be sure you'll be able to benefit from it, because the team can prioritize stability over rapid growth, and you won't get anything. I also agree that Bitcoin seems to be the best investment option for now. We don't know how the market will behave, but Bitcoin seems to be doing pretty good. The dominance, however, is not decreasing, so people don't see altcoins as more worthy of investment yet, and maybe it's the right move. If we do talk about altcoins, though, I'd invest in IOTA, because it deserves more attention than it receives.

I suppose you are new to this ecosystem and don't have updated data's. At the time of your post, XRP didn't overtake ethereum on coin market cap. Although it happens last year boun has not occurred this year which is one reason why I can't take your advice seriously.

XRP should do well due to its ample funding and strong community, though it may face competition from the Facebook GlobalCoin and banking coins to emerge. It has established partnerships with many global banks, though I am unsure about how high the barriers to entry are among competition.

I agree that MIOTA has a bright future, given its partnerships and collaborations. It's a project that is similar to Cardano in that it's stacked with academics, even if the project has a different personality. Also, its coordicide event should add investor interest over the next few months.

Like you I am also strong believer and supporter of Ripple as the project has been doing hard to make it a success by forging partnership with many noted business houses and banks. But I do also believe that ripple will grow to the level that it will beat even Ethereum in the near future. It maybe noted that it has already beat ethereum.
