I see in XRP only an opportunity to earn in the short term, nothing more. I do not like this coin and I do not believe that it will become something more.

for XRP according to me, I'm not sure It can touch the price range of $ 1 and above because their products are not running smoothly, I see there were ico last year using xRapid but until now the clarity of the project that uses xRapid is still a question mark even I suspect it is a scam , but I don't know whether the project really works with XRP or it's just a fake collaboration that is usually done by a project scam.

Forget ripple, I think most of the Ripple Army seems to rate this project more than its value, XRP, $8 for what, there is no real utility use for the token and the thing to consider is the inflation rate and the circulating tokens in the market all these will keep the price low

Would rather put my invesntment on Cardano than XRP.  Sure XRP is a big thing today but look at how much these developers are holding?  And they are to release their Billions of holdings as time goes by, they are dumping this billion of tokens in the market.  So what do you think those holders are facing?

With this kind of fundings, they could have pushed the value of XRP to moon but they can't.  Why?  Because there are lots of XRP in the market, and the developers are taking advantage of the market by simply taking the possible increase in price of XRP into their own pocket by simply selling their own stash of XRP.

So.. XRP as an investment. Short term, probably? Assuming the XRP Twitter trolls successfully shove XRP down people's throats and cause the prices to pump. Long term though? That's probably where I'm going to disagree. I'm still not pretty sure why banks would actually use XRP, as the only good thing I could see with XRP is the high liquidity, and that's pretty much it.

I think the XRP increase is not only a short-term pump, this coin also has good potential like bitcoin and ethereum in the long run. And at least the bank still supports one crypto instead of not supporting it at all, we should support this so that the future of crypto is better.

I am very skeptical about the future of this centralized currency, and about its price. There are very few chances that Ripple can reach a dollar. The long-term prognoses made by crypto analytics says that even in 2023 it will be not over 0.6 USD. Actually, it is better to think about the investments in real cryptos like Monero, Dash, Litecoin, and Ethereum.

it is difficult for XRP to develop its value, but I think all depend on the community and developers in their efforts to develop the market. when there is something that makes the XRP request increase I think the increase will still occur even if only a little.

Sorry your first line seems to be little bit confusing, when I saw “After overtaking Ethereum on CMC” seems I rushed to quickly open coinmarketcap website and found out that Ethereum is still dominating it’s second position which I believe that it will be impossible for any coin to ever overtake Ethereum.

As for ripple, I think I am beginning to respect them for their hard work really, because it is not an easy task to maintain that rank despite all the competitors and all the hatred that is all over the internet about the, I think they will really grow high with time and it is more reasonable to say that the value will reach at least 1 dollar by year ending.

I am sure the XRP will continue to increase this year, this is a future coin, many people have held it and this is already profitable.

Define "future coin".  Not because it has been profitable in the last few years, it doesn't mean it will be profitable forever. That's being delusional in it's finest.

And defining future coin should not only be limited too to its profitability but for its usefulness, a coin might not be growing in vale and be more useful more than other coins. Look at stable coins, they usually don’t increase in value but some stable coins function and are more useful than all these coins we see in the market.

XRP might not be surging like other coins, but I know they are being used by a whole lot of people, and this is why they will continue to remain strong and be able to retain their position no matter the competition. I guess It is also so strong because it is being backed by very strong bankers.

After what had been said about XRP and all those development they show in the past, I'm still unaware what the coin's purpose. They have existed for more than 6 years already but not any substantial proof that they were used in a transaction that will benefit holders of it. I have bought some of it while the price was about 2 cents but manage to dumped it all last year because its just not something worth when there isn't anything to read at all but hype.

From the beginning of this year, Ripple has no improvement in price and actually this coin makes me lose confidence in long-term investment. Their team did not have any updates and had no new ideas in building this project. I think this coin will soon drop to $0.01 in the near future if the bear market continues to happen and I sold this coin at $0.4 last week and will never invest again. Anyway, if you believe, you should keep it because Ripple technology is really good, but in the future there will be a better coin than XRP.

Never been successful trading or investing with ripples, either I came at the wrong time or took a wrong trade decision, I watched how it grew past etherium in coinmarketcap and remained there for a while. I have not had a firm believe on the project and do not see the reason why it still maintaining the top spot
