For some of us that has been following cryptocurrencies, litecoin has outperform many altcoins in the market and most of the coins that do get bullish whenever bitcoin is pumping has not done well this year. I could remember that coins like ripple, lisk, neo, stratis, xem, wave, zcash and dash do get serious upward strend whenever bitcoin is bullish in 2017 and litecoin is always undervalued but this time around litecoin recover from around $38 to $120 resistance levels and I see this as a great sign pointing to serious bullish before halving.

litecoin doubling up in upcoming months is not far from possible. But altcoins right now are not following up to bitcoin even though bitcoin's price did improve. But if bitcoin moves further I think altcoins can also move further just like what happened in 2017. And with litecoin being one of the top coins that should do it together with ethereum and XRP as well.

but what is the actual use of litecoin? is there any innovation in the project? Litecoin's whole purpose was to beat btc in speed and lightness, with the LN implemented, btc would itself be faster, would that not make LTC obsolete?

Yes I agree with it seems like the development is probably happening and we expect good changes in litecoin in very short note of time because the Crypto field must be improving its position from bad situation to good that's why I'm saying this.

Don't have that kind of conclusion yet because the end is just going on its half. Bitcoin will always be the best investment on the crypto market and with such events like halving it will drive the prices up. So what if I say you that by next year bitcoin will also halve by May time? Will you say that bitcoin is a better investment than litecoin or any other altcoin or you will remain to say that Litecoin's still a better investment than bitcoin? I acknowledge litecoin's halving and it can really go double before August.

It's possible because even bitcoin is stable between 7900 usd - 8000 usd litecoin is still increasing and see a potential with this coin. I hope it continue to increase by this year.

The thing going with LTC is the block halving, yeah I love bitcoin but this is one one altcoin that I have invested way back. And now it's making a comeback so just like the rest of you guys, I'm positive that this coin will double or even reaches another all-time-high in the next coming months.

LTC is a very safe bet imho.

A bunch of money from multiple coins will flow into LTC pre Halving which should explode the price.  Just be aware that post Halving a lot of that money will flow back out as people convert back to BTC.

Long term though, I still think even after a post Halving dump, LTC will eventually reach even bigger highs.

if you are looking at the litecoin price in USD then i disagree with the statement because its USD value will rise a lot more since it is only determined based on bitcoin USD value and bitcoin price is rising hence it is going to (fakely) increase LTC value in USD.
and that is if litecoin itself doesn't rise at all.

but we know that LTC is starting to get ready for a big pump and the result of that can be a much bigger price. if we only focus on its BTC value which is more important then THAT can double.

In crypto platform majority of the altcoins are follow the Bitcoin, so Bitcoin is the right option for this year. Obviously many shitcoins are available in the market so those are want quick profit, many altcoins are available in the market. I never suggest the any altcoin in crypto market because Bitcoin will stay in forever.
