Those who want to keep their Bitcoin investments safe can keep a dependable wallet with them for security and peace of mind.

There are multiple options people can choose from among hardware, mobile, online and desktop wallets. A good wallet is one that is easily accessible and secure. Bitcoin is a digital asset, so therefore proper precaution must be taken before securing it as an asset, especially for the long-term i.e. retirement accounts.  I always recommend keeping a hardware wallet as opposed to any online wallet because a hardware wallet works similar to a bank vault whereas an online wallet works in the same way as a bank account.

Personally, I use a Ledger Nano S to hold my cryptocurrency. What is your preferred wallet for holding Bitcoin and other crypto assets?

I am using Blockchain wallet. But I have a lot of alternatives also.

For example Trust wallet. You can use Trust wallet with your mobile phone.
Also paper wallet and hardware wallets can be secure. If you want to keep your BTC in safe.

Other options: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet (You can find a lot of different wallets in here)

So far, we've had a lot of problems. However, owners of cryptocurrencies using hardware devices have not suffered any major damage to date. So I think the best option is "hardware" wallets.

I personally have a preference for hardware wallet but the ultimate is the security and accessibility but its not really advisable to put all eggs on one basket which necessitate the need for other forms of wallets

This is recommended suggestion if you are holding coins in exchanges but hardware wallets are safe to use except for phishing sites where you need to connect your hardware wallet and enter pin or passphrase.

There's no wallet that will give you 100% secured everything in crypto wallet can be hacked. So it always recommended to follow all basic security about our wallet to avoid being hacked.

I use coin.ph wallet and poloniex exchange, both are very secured keeping crypto investment. I use coin.ph to store my bitcoin came from the poloniex or any another source of income. I use poloniex for my trading job.

It's not advisable to keep your coins in poloniex and it is not a wallet it's an exchange site. You must choose a wallet where you can backup private keys or seeds so that you can recover your wallet to any wallet providers.

Actually what I reallg want for storing my btc is hardaware wallets, however, it is very expensive for just few bucks i can save on it lol Grin so I stick first to a mobile wallet. Maybe i'll upgrade if i have a job already.

The wallet I'm using right now is coins.ph (I know that Filipinos out there can relate) simply because it is the leading digital wallet here in our country and besides it also offers different bill payments so its not hassle to use.

Well, Im using most of kind of wallets from HW (ledger nano s), mobile wallet (mycelium, electrum) desktop (electrum and wasabi), even web wallet/exchange.
Of course, I just use mobile wallets for sending small amount. And related to wasabi, I just installed it, and trying to make some experiment with it.

I used to use Ledger but now I prefer 2/2 MultiSig wallet over Ledger. I have two keys given to two person who will never know each others. I gave them this instruction that if something happens to me then give it to my wife.

By the way, for regular use I have some BTC in a standard desktop wallet.

neither one of them are secure as you think. not to mention that you aren't storing your money there, you are instead giving up your money and receiving a "promise" in return, a promise that these services are known to not-keep. they can easily close your account and not give your money back or simply they can get hacked and lose all your money and run away just like dozens of others before them.

What if something happens to one of them? The coins are lost, right? If you trust your wife, it's probably safer to just give her access to the private keys. But then you really need to trust your wife. Wink

No exchange is very secure like you say. You might have not had any problems so far but you are playing Russian roulette with your money. Many exchanges have been hacked and other have done exit scams. Put yourself in control of your private keys, you will be safer that way.

Very secure, because? They haven't got hacked.. YET.

You need to do research kabayan. Coins.ph is also a custodial wallet, which you shouldn't use to store your funds. https://cryptosec.info/cryptocurrency-wallets/

Same with you OP and others, ledger nano s is my favorite wallet. After releasing the ledger live, it made my life easier. I can check the total amount of assets I have currently stored to my nano s because I don't use blockfolio anymore as my portfolio tab.

I use coin.ph wallet and poloniex exchange, both are very secured keeping crypto investment. I use coin.ph to store my bitcoin came from the poloniex or any another source of income. I use poloniex for my trading job.
It's secured because they haven't experienced some problems regarding penetration of hackers. I'm not wishing it to happen but it's best if you will keep your assets somewhere that has better confirmed security like hardware wallets.

The same topic has been discussed several times. We have many bitcoin wallets and a lot more yet to come. But as we have hardware wallets like Ledger, Trezor, then why we need further wallets? If someone uses hardware wallets then they are enough safe. We should make more thread about how to use hardware wallets properly, how to keep them safe instead of these threads!

You are right, using a hardware wallet would be the best option. Unfortunately not everyone can afford one. $50 is still a lot of money in some regions and for some that could also be their entire portfolio. So buying a hardware wallet is not an option for them.

Hopefully you don't store that much bitcoin on your Blockchain wallet. You might want to take a look at this:
