Blockchain games are not at the same level that they are in great demand. I hope that in the future this will change and more and more will be good games on the blockchain

The last one is the problem, we are talking about trustless protocol, we learn that nobody can cheat, and then we have a scam game. So what does the term blockchain game really mean? Another buzzword?

I do not play blockchain games that much, I have had my fair share of it but am glad that the gaming industry is massively entering the blockchain space. However, comparing the other type of games to the one in the blockchain space, the difference is clear that, there is need for more improvements so as to get something closer or even better than what's obtainable in the industry. In addition, taking into account the blockchain space is still growing, there is certainly hope it will one day compete with the other types of games.

PSA: Beta Racing is moving to ZED.RUN!

From 12am PDT Friday 12th June (approx.), beta.zed.run will no longer be accessible and you must visit zed.run to continue racing.

As you know, ZED Beta Racing has been operating on a unique URL, beta.zed.run since we launched live racing 11 weeks ago. However the time has come where we will be moving beta.zed.run to zed.run.

What does mean?
If you are a ZED Racing Beta user, to continue racing, you must do so by visiting zed.run. ZED Racing will be only available to those who signed up to our Beta Program.

Important
If you are a previous ZED Beta user and cannot access racing, ensure the same the email was used as the same one that you used to create your ZED stable.

The shift from beta.zed.run to zed.run will happen before 12am PDT on Friday 12th June. From this date onwards, beta.zed.run will no longer be accessible and you must visit zed.run to continue racing. Please note, nothing else has changed other than the URL you visit.

This will cause no interruptions at all and it is important to note that performance data will stay intact for the time being for all racehorses.

New updates
With this scheduled update, we will also be deploying some improvements:
- Added new currencies: JPY (Japanese Yen)/EUR (EU Euro)/HKD (Hong Kong Dollar)
- Updated Winnings UI with latest designs
- Fixed issue with race being reset on multiple replays

Making ZED more accessible to a wider audience will always be our goal as we continue to grow our awesome community and this is the first step in that direction.

A massive thank you to our beta testers who have participated in over 1,350 races and competed for 275 in ETH that has been on offer.

The zest is yet to come

I have not played blockchain game before, but recently I got one through a friend and it seems legit to me because they give $100 worth of Bitcoin to 3 lucky winners everyday.  Fortunately, I was one of the lucky winners recently. I just hope everything goes well with the game at the end of the day.

Check out https://saito.io/
Boardgames running on top of the blockchain, part of the blocks and tx are generated by playing on the site (using the Saito consensus Mechanism)

The current games are:
Chess
Twilight Struggle
Pandemic
Scotland Yard
Poker (you don't actually gamble anything)
Wordblocks

And some others that are still in development.

You can check the daily TXs generated at https://blocktivity.info/ , have been running for a few months and almost ready for the final release, its up to anyone that likes this kind of games and want to play.

Blockchain games are highly popular in this crypto market. But somehow they are not abale to come mainstream. There are lots of blockchain games are coming to market. And I see that platform like eos and TRX  have most of the blockchain based games. I am into eos knight for a long time. I  really like that game. There are many games which are going popular many people are interested on it. But poker and gambling games are more popular in this space. We have a future just somehow webhave to go to mainstream somehow.

According to the Block Crypto, There are a total of 73 blockchain gaming firms that are either developing games, producing platforms, or providing infrastructure
The blockchain gaming segment has received $313 million in venture funding and $237 million in funding from ICOs, or a total of $550 million
While the industry average for blockchain investment declined by 57% from 2018 to 2019, the blockchain gaming segment only suffered a decline of 18%.

PlayFuel is the greatest project which is connecting gamingindustry to blockchain industry so it is based on blockchain. it is built on ethereum (erc20).

So here you can build game, play game and Mine as you play. And the roadmap is also looks promising so you need to check it once.

Apart from hobbies, one of the reasons people play games is to make a profit. because they have sacrificed time and energy so they definitely want their hobbies to be able to make profits. then it is natural that gambling-based games become one that is sought after by many people.
