CCN is Shutting Down after Google’s June 2019 Core Update:
https://www.ccn.com/ccn-is-shutting-down-after-googles-june-2019-core-update

Google’s June 2019 Core Update rolled out on June 3th 2019 and CCN’s traffic from Google searches dropped more than 71% on mobile overnight.

As data from SEO analyzer Sistrix shows, our visibility on Google dropped from 1.2 to less than 0.6. You might say we ought not to face any issues since we’ve been at those levels and lower, in the past. What you need to realize is that we have added more people to the team, both full-timers and part-timers. We do not want to downsize the team, we do not want to break the morale of the team. So yes, this change by Google is directly having a significant impact on us as a small independent news organization that has never received any outside funding. The money we make made on advertisements was directly funneled back into growing the team....

Maybe new ownership coming soon?

CCN acquisition: Scandinavian M&A with Stankevicius MGM?
https://bitcoingarden.org/ccn-acquisition-scandinavian-ma-with-stankevicius-mgm/

Apparently, company Stankevicius MGM, has already bought a dead crypto site in 2018 MONEY IN CRYPTO. As a matter of fact, this company is working closely with blockchain companies and ICOs. According to latest release on their website, it says that in 2018, Stankevicius helped ICO companies to raise over half a billion dollars in funding. This company is in the game and is working on something, something that others might not see. When a company is down, they buy it. What they do with it? That is the question.

But think about it! ICO companies dying, crypto media is dying. Coindesk and Cointelegraph are also losing traffic big time. Would it make sense to say so that crypto industry is being pushed out and traditional companies are looking for ways to get in? Hmm. What do you think?

That's usually what happens when legacy giants start entering the market. They have a huge reputational and branding advantage. The first mover advantage of the CCNs and Coindesks didn't give them much of lead over Forbes Crypto and the like.

Was surprise though hearing this news.

And the only thing that comes to my mind (as I'm into SEO years ago) is that Google might have change algorithm that affected CCN's presence and traffic.

I remember working on a website before, it was really doing good staying at page 1 rank then suddenly they have an update that put my website nowhere it used to be.

Smaller bitcoin news media outlets should close down, however. They are mostly publishing poorly written articles with clickbait titles to trick people similar to what Coinidol and Cointelegraph are doing.

They might have also hired spammers to post their articles here in the press subforum. You know who you are hehehe.
