I have already heard and read many real life stories like this before that they become rich because of Bitcoin. All that i can say that they are very lucky that they never think twice in joining Bitcoin investments in which they become prospher in life unlike most of us here that no matter how hard we tried but its look like we need to become fortunate too just like them in order to become rich in Bitcoin too.

So, how did he become a millionaire because of bitcoin when the story goes like this? With his eagerness he founds out and discovered that the bitcoin reached $1,200 and he sold his bitcoin to $100,000. Last time I checked 100 000 is ten times less than a million Another clickbait topic? LE: Oh crap, a 2014 article? Btw: http://erikfinman.com/ lols... Lol nice catch, I also wonder why he is the youngest millionaire when he just sold his BTC totalling $100k. Either way, I am not inspired with his story, would have better seeing someone who has none, working hard for BTC payment, saving it until the value of his saving turns to $1 million. I believe this kind of story is just a made up or make believe story just to highlight how BTC can get you rich fast. And the story isn't about him making millions with his Bitcoin savings but rather the turn of events that happen in his life. And I believe there is someone who is pulling the string behind this person's success.

It would be infinitely more awesome if someone became a Bitcoin millionaire by starting from scratch. Still waiting for a story where some random kid invested his money that he earned by himself into Bitcoin. Lol, imagine someone mowing lawns and asking to get paid in Bitcoin, with a bit of luck they could have a nice bit of savings when they're 18

I am talking about Eric Finman. An inspiring story that is worth to read. This is just a summarized of his journey. Eric Finman is just a typical 16 year old student who is bright and creative. He has smart two brothers and he is the youngest. He is into latest technologies. When his brother introduced digital currencies (bitcoin) at 2013 who his brother brought 50 bitcoins. He decided to compete his brother by buying hundreds of bitcoin worth $1,000 in which his grandmother's gave. His brother Ross gave him a book by Ohanian ( a co-founder of Reddit), which indicates the power of internet and which got Eric's attention and interests. He is eager to meet him but there is $8,500 fee which made his parents think it was too much. With his eagerness he founds out and discovered that the bitcoin reached $1,200 and he sold his bitcoin to $100,000. Finally, he met Ohanian. It amazed him how matured enough Eric when it comes to technology. One time, as a freelancer, he make a Flappy Bird knockoff game and Ohanian is an eye opener for Eric's eagerness to use internet as a source of income. He produce his own programmers, etc. And made his own company. I just thought Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest millionare. Now, it is Eric Finman. Here is my favorite line from my idol, "I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault."
He is now 18 years old. Despite of being disppointment in terms of education, he is now a successful and the youngest millionare by bitcoin and by his innovations and by being creative. Read the full article here. After reading the entire I post I feel he got very lucky, and I hope he does not gets carried away by his success. Did anyone else realise he sold his coins at $1200, and had he waited few months longer he could have sold it at $20k. The only lesson I took from this post was that one should hodl his coins for the long term, he maybe a millionaire now but due to his decision of selling early he lost out on a very big fortune.

Whether it is true or not He became rich through bitcoin, all I can say is that bitcoin can be a way for us to change our lives and it could help us to become rich or lead us down to poor situation. Because, as far as I know bitcoin was a volatile digital currency were there is no stable in terms of price. But this was just my opinion only.
Indeed it is one of the ways that can change our lives most especially if we are smart in handling our bitcoins, it just a matter of properly managing your bitcoins. This boy however has an edge over the other investors because he is from a rich family and he was given thousands of dollars just to buy what he wants and in this case he bought bitcoins. I'm sorry but I don't envy or i'm not really inspired by his story knowing he didn't get bitcoins from hard work, he was given money to buy it and sell it at the time where bitcoin's price is high, though I can say he is smart because he was able to sell it at the time where he can get high profits. It would have been better if he started from scratch.

Well, he was a lucky young boy who had already a rich family. He can actually buy more bitcoin if he can afford it, he has begun to purchased bitcoin in the year of 2011 which bitcoin is very cheap. And now, he is very well-known for his very young age he became a multi-millionaire after he received a gift from his grandmother. Each of us has a different background of our family and maybe he just can afford and luckily he early discover bitcoin while it is cheap and he's not depending on what he invested.

Every people have their own chance to be millionaire. 5 years ago, I can made $ 100.000 profit if I sold all of my bank's balance for crypto. 9 years ago, if I knew crypto will make me rich, I will leave my collage and start investing crypto
So it's a matter on how fast do you believe on something unpredictable !?

"I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault." It's a big statement! An 18 year old male who grew up in an affluent family, is not a good fit for making such statement! Becoming a millionaire doesn't make you eligible for such statements! This is copied as well. Not exactly but copied the theme of the sentence. Bill Gates said almost the same- "If you born poor, it's not your fault but if you die poor, it's your fault." Aren't both refer to the same theme? Being millionaire through investing in Bitcoin is risky. I would save some bucks on a regular basis if I ever wanted to be a millionaire.

A good inspiring message from a teen. Luck was on his part and he make judicious used of the opportunity to become a millionaire in cryptocurrency. This is a positive news even though the news is outdated. Would love to increase my portfolio in order to make a reasonable amount of money when the bull run will start.

Being inspire from others story will gives you good hint to find your own way to achieve something out from where you are trying your luck, this young boy who luckily become rich even in his young age can give everyone inspiration not to stop believing that somewhere in the right place and time you will also have the same chance as him.

I find such stories more damaging than inspiring unlike what many of the previous comments see it. I think when these stories like this are advertising bitcoin as something that you could buy in early days and become rich, aka a get rich magic investment. and that is not what we want and that is definitely not what bitcoin is created to do. of course price is always a part of bitcoin since it is rising a lot and will continue to rise for many years to come but the biggest reason for this rise is that bitcoin is a decentralized currency that is offering something unique that the centralized fiat can not.

He was lucky because he was born to an affluent family and his grandmother gave him a few thousand bucks for purchasing some little known asset. But I don't think that they got the calculation right. He has 100 BTC in his wallet. As per the current exchange rates, they will be worth somewhere around $780,000. That's not exactly a million $$$.

To get a different perspective of life, speak to a slum boy someday! a bit cocky from someone that cant even grow a beard, alot of young people think they have it all figured out, its called the everest effect, congrats to him for being rich, hope he will not lose it all thanks to bad investments like alot of us

Neither the OP (nor the reference article in the OP) complete the kid’s journey to the 1M$ goal. The 100.000$ he got from selling his BTC at age 15 were subsequently invested as follows: - He then created Botangle, an online business related in the field of education. - In 2015 he managed to sell the company for 300 BTC (declining the 100K$ alternative payment he was given). - Allegedly, he still kept increasing his portafolio, having over 400 BTC as of the time of the article below referenced (one year ago roughly). So the key to being a Bitcoin millionaire was, besides being darn well active for a teenager, creating and selling Botangle and then being able to HODL to the BTCs he obtained as a result of the process, building-up his portafolio all along from there on. The guy seems a bit of a brat, but you’ve got to give him the faith and push he seems to have (as opposed to being on the PS4 all day long). all the same, the correct investments were made, any other teenager would spend the$ 1000 received from his grandmother on entertainment, he did not do it and invested in bitcoin, and did not lose.

This really talks to me. Damn. I got teary reading this. My best part is this "I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault." It is so so so true. You want to make it in life? You gotta push hard. Take control!!. Be a monster and release the beast!! So many times we blame a million other things when we are the ones in charge of what happens and no one else. I was very upset because I had enough money to buy 10 bitcoins a long time ago with money my gran gave me. I had nothing to do with it and wanted to invest it in bitcoin. I was spoken out of it but I shouldn't have listened. Later on I did need the money but I wish I just bought bitcoin and forgot about it. The quote a repeated above makes me feel like I still have a second chance and that I shouldn't give up. I missed a life-changing event. Should I give up? Never!! Life changing events happen all around us. This makes me want to try even harder and this time get it right, learn from my mistakes and forgive myself. I won't let it happen again. Yet I still feel the sting, I wouldn't need to work right now if I had just followed through my plan. You never know the future though so maybe I am much too hard on myself

Weird thing is that this story is pretty old and many including me were already aware of his success thanks to his Youtube interviews and articles related to him which is why op seems to have heard of this story really late. Many are calling him arrogant and I admit that he is, but this does not necessarily mean that this is a bad thing. He basically took control of his life at such a young age and pushed forward and continued to improve his portfolio which is mighty impressive if you ask me.

If buy at that time and hold until bull year when price was 20k +$ and sell yes he got 1 mil. $ and was a wise decission to buy and hold. The problem now is bitcoin cost a lot and no one know when will grow enough to bring a huge profit.
