He is very lucky or very clever. I'm quite surprised that it is an information unit that he can understand Bitcoin. He will be very successful in the future. I wonder what gift he got for his grandmother.

As much as it is great to hear such a young person becoming a millionaire from cryptocurrency, it is clear that he didn't truly believe in or understand the technology. OP states that he decided to compete with his brother with the money he received from his grandmother, depicting a sense of pure luck in this scenario.

Quote from: Eric Finman
"I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault."
Seems like a bit of a stupid quote coming from someone who off a stroke of pure luck became a millionaire. He really did no work and in fact, if his brother didn't introduce him into bitcoin he would be like the rest of the nobodies in the world. It is completely different in the real world, people work their asses off and can still barely makes ends meat.

Is this also the kid that became a millionaire out of bitcoin but friends and families are doubting him? Well, if it is him, then anything is possible.

Sometimes intelligence isn't needed to get to the right place, and even luck can be enough! I don't know which applies to Eric. But I think it would be more correct to judge people not with their wealth, but with the way they have come from the beginning, with their moral values and personality.

Still intelligence is clearly needed for daily relationships and for work. but the matter of luck cannot be determined by one's intelligence. luck can come to everyone and no one can avoid it. agree with you that don't always determine people from their wealth but from the morals they do.

His brother is the one whom needs to be appreciated. Everyone won't be getting brothers who are helpful and understand the mind of younger ones. Here his brother have shared the knowledge about technology, along with the same he has bought him a book that has changed Eric's life. This is simply awesome, to see the brother perfectly study the younger ones mind and do the needful. I don't know now whether Eric is supporting his brothers.
It's very interesting and inspiring to know that at a younger age Erik got the interest and curiosity about the potential of cryptocurrency when he first heard about it from his brother. With his determination, commitment, and creativity, he succeeded and give back to the community, he used his fortune to fund educational business.

I do hope that the story of this young man could give more lesson to those who prospected bitcoin as an investment. Other people happen to know bitcoin by false information coming from non-reliable articles that spreads online. Having a mindset similar to this guy at his younger age is worth of praises. It's not too late to start from scratch, reaching your dreams with bitcoin is not impossible regardless if you're old or young.

This kid comes from a very rich family and fortunately for him, his investment gave him very good returns. He could take the risk, because for his family it was a small amount. But such fairy tales don't happen very often to ordinary people. Anyway, I hope that he continues to stay invested in Bitcoin as his returns can grow by manifold in the next few years.

BTW, early investors with any asset are bound to become rich and it is true in the case of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum as well. Back in 2011 and 2012 the exchange rates were pretty much stagnant, and no one would have imagined that Bitcoin exchange rate would climb to five digits. Those who invested during that era, took a great deal of risk.

I am talking about Eric Finman.

An inspiring story that is worth to read.

This is just a summarized of his journey.

Eric Finman is just a typical 16 year old student who is bright and creative. He has smart two brothers and he is the youngest. He is into latest technologies. When his brother introduced digital currencies (bitcoin) at 2013 who his brother brought 50 bitcoins. He decided to compete his brother by buying hundreds of bitcoin worth $1,000 in which his grandmother's  gave.

His brother Ross gave him a book by Ohanian ( a co-founder of Reddit), which indicates the power of internet and which got Eric's attention and interests. He is eager to meet him but there is $8,500 fee which made his parents think it was too much. With his eagerness he founds out and discovered that the bitcoin reached $1,200 and he sold his bitcoin to $100,000.

Finally, he met Ohanian. It amazed him how matured enough Eric when it comes to technology. One time, as a freelancer, he make a Flappy Bird knockoff  game and Ohanian is an eye opener for Eric's eagerness to use internet as a source of income.

He produce his own programmers, etc. And made his own company.

I just thought Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest millionare. Now, it is Eric Finman.

Here is my favorite line from my idol,

Quote from: Eric Finman
"I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault."

He is now 18 years old. Despite of being disppointment in terms of education, he is now a successful and the youngest millionare by bitcoin and by his innovations and by being creative.

Despite of having an early age, this is not his hindrances to become millionaire. Nowadays, many people are trying to get up with the help of bitcoin and many of us are working hard, invest hard, grind hard to earn some money out of it. We should have own technique and skills to be successful. Being smart and creative is given to each one of us so we should make it happen with the help of that skills. Being one of the early successful and millionaire is very amazing and inspiring to other people for them to work more harder.

Hey you, quoting the whole content of OP post look like spam. Avoid this kind of attitude, you are very lucky because you're not wearing a signature that might be banned from the campaign. Well back to the topic.

Being one of the early successful and millionaire is very amazing and inspiring to other people for them to work more harder.
That's good for him because his grandmother has enough money to buy bitcoin at that time when its value is still low during his young age the reason why he is a millionaire now. Well if only I have the money to buy bitcoin when I was young I would definitely buy a lot but sad to say we are poor and we can't afford to buy it.

One important point am picking from this right up is his willingness to invest at that teenage age, as a teenager you would expect him to want to spend the money on what other teenager his mate are interested in, video games etc,  this guy clearly have one goal in mind to flip that money given to him instead of spending it,
again listen to his brother and investing on what he has very little knowledge of at that age is commendable, grownups need too many convincing about crypto, still some won't take it very serious, but here is a 16 years who yield the advice of his brother without too much stress, today, his a proud millionaire, he has a business mind i can tell, i hope other young ones can emulate him.

Nothing is impossible with the person who wants to get rich.  If the news is true i am happy for the reason that it inspires us all.In order to make it rich because of bitcoin it just shows that he is not weak hands and I think he has a lot of trust in bitcoin.  So while we are promoting crypto we may begin to explore what we can do to enrich the crypto world.  like his sudden wealth because of bitcoin

Good for him that he didn't wasted his birthday gift on booze or weed. I can see that he made his first Bitcoin purchase back in 2013. I was unaware of cryptocurrency until 2017, when one of my friends introduced me to Bitcoin. I feel jealous now... However it was a bad decision to sell his coins later that year. He should have held on to them for a longer duration.

from what I see, Eric Finman is a smart person, The decision he took appropriately..  ordinary children certainly will not be able to make the right decisions before the age of 20 years, but he was able to predict and make good decisions, this is a gift from God for him.

He made  millions and even chances was been missed but he already enjoying those profits that he acquired, sometimes being stable and contented with what you've got is more better than chasing more stress, there's no one who can imagine that the sudden bull of 2017 will happen after all. He's smart
and he used it to take advantage of learning everything from every opportunities for him.

No one will be able to predict what awaits us in the cryptocurrency market in the near future.  If I knew what the price of Bitcoin would be in 2017, then I would definitely buy, not sell Bitcoin.

There is indeed no age to learn and enrich your knowledge, and there is also no age to invest and grow your assets. For me For me business and business is something we have from a very young age, we can't stop thinking about the future and making more profits.

High risk high reward!

Those kids who know how to use the internet at a young age will definitely be on the top in the future. Almost everything right now is on the internet already and you can get almost all of the information there. This is the power of technology right now and in the future, it will be use by more people. If you are young lets say a student, investing in Bitcoin at a young age is the best thing to do when it comes to investments.

I get want you want to point out, that bitcoin is something that we can use for us to be successful and your hardwork will be the deciding factor, but I think you had used a wrong person.  This boy right here is already a priveleged boy, he became rich because his family is already one and he only get lucky on betting sites. I mean, we have numerous people here that are far better and deserve more to be the point of comparison and inspiration, they have really persevere unlike this person right here.
