People come from different backgrounds, different financial situations and different family situations! To get a different perspective of life, speak to a slum boy someday!

He was just lucky to have a rich family! 1,000 $ is a huge sum of money here in my country and can buy a home. So he could easily reach a million dollars especially since he was an early adopter of bitcoin where the price has not yet boom!

I think when he was a kid, he was curious by bitcoin and they have a technology where they can access Internet in a few years. I think when I am also have a technology when I was I kid I'm already millionaire like him because there have some many faucet who gave 5 bitcoin per captcha when the price was about cents.

So the credit should go to his brother for bringing him some Bitcoins, I think it's a story for not much inspiring but a successful story, from here you can learn a lesson that you shouldn't ignore anything in this globe, you don't know which thing could you help when you need, so everything should be useful by the time, I really appreciate of his success and passionate regarding this platform, I believe that if you have a passion and dedication then success will find you and people will recognize your success not you, But this teenage should not be an example to the world because he's family background is not ordinary, he's been grown up in a rich family and 1000$ was not a big question for him.

Bitcoin made many early adopters millionaire. I know a friend of mine who bought bitcoin in early 2013, then he forgot about it until 2016, he sold half of it in Nov 2017 and realized a profit in multiplier of thousands. Crypto is still inn its initial phase. There is a still lot potential to earn hefty returns more than any traditional asset can give. It is more about patience now. People sell it to fuds and fomo exit.

I am talking about Eric Finman.

An inspiring story that is worth to read.

This is just a summarized of his journey.

Eric Finman is just a typical 16 year old student who is bright and creative. He has smart two brothers and he is the youngest. He is into latest technologies. When his brother introduced digital currencies (bitcoin) at 2013 who his brother brought 50 bitcoins. He decided to compete his brother by buying hundreds of bitcoin worth $1,000 in which his grandmother's  gave.

His brother Ross gave him a book by Ohanian ( a co-founder of Reddit), which indicates the power of internet and which got Eric's attention and interests. He is eager to meet him but there is $8,500 fee which made his parents think it was too much. With his eagerness he founds out and discovered that the bitcoin reached $1,200 and he sold his bitcoin to $100,000.

Finally, he met Ohanian. It amazed him how matured enough Eric when it comes to technology. One time, as a freelancer, he make a Flappy Bird knockoff  game and Ohanian is an eye opener for Eric's eagerness to use internet as a source of income.

He produce his own programmers, etc. And made his own company.

I just thought Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest millionare. Now, it is Eric Finman.

Here is my favorite line from my idol,

Quote from: Eric Finman
"I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault."

He is now 18 years old. Despite of being disppointment in terms of education, he is now a successful and the youngest millionare by bitcoin and by his innovations and by being creative.

Very inspirational story indeed, I wish my daughter could be more interested in cryptocurrencies
although she is already into games and internet and wants to create her own game in the future.

There's really nothing impossible when it comes to becoming a millionaire through bitcoin. It was very feasible way back, just imagine having the chance to buy atleast 10 bitcoins at a very low price when it was just starting then holding it up until 2018, you would totally be a millionaire if that's the case. It is all about chances and fortune, you could have been a millionaire too if you believed on bitcoin and bought plenty earlier than everybody did. Just pay attention on what you have now, you still have all the chances to be a millionaire sooner or later.

Years ago I actually met someone younger than 18 years old who was "almost" a millionaire. This was in the $200 bitcoin range and there were no bitcoin ATMs in my area so people used peer to peer to buy and sell bitcoins.

This individual showed me his BTC wallet and at the time he had a net value of $400,000, keep in mind that this was in 2014-2015 or so, so if he held everything till now he would of been a multi-millionaire.

I told him not to show off his bitcoin holdings due to security reasons. I told him to send a small amount of BTC to a new address and sell his coins that way so the person buying them doesn't know his true balance.

Haven't heard from him since. He said he made most of his money by mining bitcoin and litecoin and I think dogecoin.

Its interesting our some persons are taking thiss personal 😄😄😄. The young chap is blessed. Yes, not everyone is privileged to have parents or relations who will be willing to give you any amount to invest into something that we barely knew what it's future holds then. But he took the risk and fortunately it paid off greatly. He doesn't look like someone who would squander money easily because it looks like he has the right people around him. Except if misguided, will he go broke later on

We could follow the path of this boy too but not thru Bitcoin which is now very expensive to purchase but we could find our luck in Altcoins like the Ethereum in which the current price is same cheaper of Bitcoin price 5 years ago. If we will try our luck now with Altcoins then who knows after 5 years from now the people who don't have balls to buy will tell us how we just got lucky too.  Grin

He is indeed an inspiration to everyone as not anyone of us will have given the chance to become millionaire at that age, but still he's not because he is lucky, but because he choose the right path, that instead of wasting his time doing online games, he choose to know what are the things that could make him millionaire someday.
It is not actually about the age. It is on the knowledge he has and that kid is insane having that kind of intelligence because not all children have that intelligence because we all know at that age they are used to play games or maybe studying and learning on school but this kid is awesome he actually studied everything about bitcoin and he earn a lot of money on that age. I am impress to his knowledge because he can manage to earn that big money. Maybe there is someone who teach him and he actually made it awesome. Instead of playing games or studying in school he able to give his time and use his time to earn that lot of money. He is indeed awesome

His fortunate enough to have such thousand dollar to buy bitcoins in his early age but I did not actually inspired by his story he become a millionaire from his grandmothers money not from own income like mining etc.,upon reading the article I learned that Eric was really brilliant boy doing some big achievements in his young age thats what I admire to him not the bitcoin he bought.

rich at a young age with bitcoin is extraordinary.
how the story of a boy can have a long view into the future and survive even though he knows he has earned a lot of money and continues to survive until he becomes a billionaire.
whether greed or luck but I hope I can also follow in his footsteps.

At his young stage his very dedicated to create her life better to become most youngest millionaire. with the announcement spread everyone will work hard and learn hard to become millionaire too because they are inspired. most of people now will see that crypto currency will make them more richer and give them better life not just  negative rumors they heard in people who helpless in their lives.

He was originally born in a family rich, not universal, not from scratch, and therefore cannot be used as an example.
even if he is born in a rich family it still doesn't change the fact that he became the first teenager to become a millionaire because if bitcoin.
you must realize most kid in his age wouldn't even consider investing in anything let alone cryptocurrency and him as a kid showed interest
in bitcoin and investing in it shows that he believed in the technology. even if he barely did anything to become a millionaire I still give him
credit for what he did.

I like your point. It's barely hard for kids to get into latest technology development unless newest game or newest app for their phones. Talking about his family's wealthy, I believe there were many kids from rich family at that time who had chance to buy bitcoin but they didn't do that because it simply didn't attract them. And this kid and his brother did. They deserve what they invested.

True, nothing is impossible to be a millionaire like the teenager above with bitcoin. when we want to try hard and think creatively, I think dreams can definitely be achieved. I think all of that is very encouraging news, and can be a motivation for us all to always strive to the maximum and look for new innovations that will make our dreams come true soon. if you can't buy when the price of bitcoin is at a low price at that time, don't look back, keep going and think about the future from now on.

This sounds like a much better story. If he kept most of that, even at 10x, he'd have $4 million, which would be more than enough for him, even if he got out of crypto completely at that point. Even if he doesn't invest it anywhere else and just keeps in in a HISA, he'd have $40k a year for the next hundred years.

Unfortunately, we'd never really know, and most likely at such a young age, they might make the mistake of spending it all on useless stuff. Hopefully he improves his life and keeps it for a rainy day.

That is it, for you to really make it in life, you still need financial support, imagine if he does not have that $1000, or as a young boy which in my country, many of people like this still love under their roof of their parents who hardly give them money because they are either still in high school or just about finishing high school and the only money they are having access to are all these little pocket monies which may now even be upt0 $10 per month.

When I was at his age, I don’t think I have the privilege to even 10 percent of that amount, but one thing that I have learnt from this story which many young people should also learn is that when you have the privilege in life, they should take advantage of it. He could have used the money to play game or gamble, but he invested it.

Another lesson I get from the story. Grandparents especially grandmom are the best person in the world. He got his first bitcoin because of the money from his grandmom. I believe if he asked $8,500 to meet Ohanian, surely his grandmom will give him while his parents felt it was too much lol.

No matter where he had his money still he understood well what Bitcoin can offer him and he still did a great job by knowing and investing in Bitcoin. When we were Young, it is hard for us to invest as what's on our mind most of us here is to have a new shoes, new cellphone, gadget but instead he did it by investing.
