The next step should be getting extorted using the trust system, getting tired of the double standards and stop trying.
LOL. I guess I missed this thread when it got made, because I don't remember it at all.
I discovered the forum when I was searching for bitcoin-related stuff around 2014 or so. Most of the google results linked to forum topics, so I just kind of became familiar with bitcointalk by reading them. I remember there was a lot of drama and a lot of scam accusations, and this was at a time when I wasn't sure that bitcoin itself wasn't a scam thing. I bookmarked one of the threads so I could just come back to the forum and see how all the dramas were progressing.
Finally I decided that I wanted to actually be a member, so I registered in March 2015. I'd been aware of what signature campaigns were in a general sense, but I had no intention of joining one when I registered. From what little I knew about them I could clearly see that they led to a bunch of shitposts. That was one of the first things I noticed here, that most posts were poorly written and every thread was mostly a one-sided non-discussion. Members don't usually respond to each others' posts like they do in other forums, and I chalked that up to sig campaigns.
And then blah blah blah. Time passed, I got hit with the sig campaign bug, ranked up, and here we are. My path pretty much followed what's in the infographic, except for the fact that I didn't come here to earn money. I came for the drama and the community and I haven't been disappointed since.
