I just started with coding and was searching for answers/solutions online and found a site https://stackoverflow.com most of you might know this site. When I signed up to this site they showed all the rules and other tips to use there site. One thing they mentioned was the restriction for the new users. It was mentioned that the new  users cannot comment until they have some credibility as he/she will be treated as a learner in that time period.

Bitcointalk is also a amazing platform like Stakeoverflow but the domain in which these two platform work or far apart but, this feature of enforcing newbie to learn is missing.

I know that there are restriction on signature but, newbie sometimes keep spamming must by replying on ever thread. Some spammers will be banned and some will not be. This feature can filter out many spammers and allow only those who are here to learn, explore.

This was my though process when I read stackoverflow rules.

Bitcointalk used to have newbie jail but it was removed in early 2014. Here's what theymos says about it

...

Limiting newbie participation is very harmful for a community. Newbie jail will never return: I consider the newbie-jail period to have been extremely damaging to the forum. When barriers to participation are too high, then the best people often just won't go to the trouble of joining, and the people who are willing to jump through the hoops are often people who aren't good for the community: people with nothing better to do, scammers, get-rick-quickers, etc. Having a permanent newbie jail policy would improve things a lot in the short-term, but would end up being a fatal poison to the community.

I have no clue what newbie jail was also, the feature that I admired was restricting newbies from commenting on other discussion thread. There are many newbies who write irrelevant things(thanks to bitcoin talk team as they delete them off). The platform that I spoke about allows newbies to create new threads and let them learn but, do not let them comment or advice others as they are considered as newbies.

What I felt was this feature can filter out and just provide knowledge discussion. In many thread multiple users do same comment by forming different forms of sentence. This feature can reduce that as well. This is what I though.

There definitely isn't an easy way to reduce the Newbie spam that can happen, but there have been a few notable members who came here as Newbie accounts that had a lot to contribute.

Just for future reference if you have a suggestions or anything specifically about the forum you should post it in Meta. You can also search through there for previous ideas, implementations and the discussions around them.

In many thread multiple users do same comment by forming different forms of sentence.
This is not a problem which is unique to newbie users, and there are many members of higher ranks which do this too. It is much more closely correlated with being part of a signature campaign which is poorly ran, poorly managed, and often altcoin based, although there are a couple of bitcoin paying campaigns such as YoBit and Stake which encourage this kind of spam as well.

Rather than placing blanket restrictions on all newbies, which would also impact on the newbies which are contributing helpfully, the way to address this is to start enforcing the rules on signature spam and campaigns which do not regulate their members properly.

bitcointalk forum is free for all and does not limit audience in every thread or section that is available for visit. The forum show equality among users when accessing forum information. So what matter here is that when one user willing to learn then he/she can able to search for things that are unclear to the user's understanding using the search bar option.

In the end learning here will depend on the what of user one will be. It is a matter of interest also for cryptocurrency joining actively in discussions and maybe asking questions directly by starting a thread. Pretty sure one can get good replies from users here that are knowledgeable in cryptocurrency.

Theymos has made it clear that newbie jail ain't ever coming back, the forum wants to provide conducive environment for it's newcomers, which rightly should be so, restricting them from commenting would also stiffle the rights of those who are here for the right reasons as they would be unable to have their own impact on the forum, which could serve as discouragements, making the forum lose potential good contributors.

The mods would thrash spam posts and most probably nuke accounts renowned for creating spam posts, but to generally blank out newbies is unfair and would not happen, and to think that they only aren't the only ones guilty of spam in here.

By this way, you may lose some interested person as well. Some users only register here to ask some technical questions and get these solved. I don't think they will be patient enough to wait that much time for asking a question which might be very important to him. I would never support any type of newbie restrictions in posting. Moderation is better than restricting them to post at the beginning, this will get them negative impact about the forum.

I think Bitcointalk already have this feature of deleting the irrelevant or spam posts and also banning the users who do Spamming.

One thing they mentioned was the restriction for the new users. It was mentioned that the new  users cannot comment until they have some credibility as he/she will be treated as a learner in that time period.

I don't think this is the right way of treating a new user. New users are here to learn new things and ask doubts/queries they have. If they are restricted to do that then how they can learn? As they start commenting and posting the queries, they can increase their account credibility by gaining merits and becoming a Jr. Member, Member and so on.
