Telegram's Gram token finally going on Public sale from July 10

Highly anticipated ICO of the year (of last year), TON, a decentralized network for digital communication with it's Gram token had a private sale last year raising over $1.7 billion.
They are said to have a full ICO in october of this year while Gram Asia is selling some of the tokens in a IEO in liquid exchange.
The IEO would be open to all but Japanese and US citizens. The coins could be bought with US dollar or USDC stable coin but the price is not still revealed.

I thought that they just gathered around $15M but I'm surprised with that. Sure its a big money that they've manage to collect from their ICO before. If that's what they said, it means that the sale hasn't ended but they have extended it. It's too long for them to give such update, anyway where you got this source? And with their ride to IEO, I think that they can sell about $1B again for this Gram Asia's IEO. It's also likely that investors won't be interested anymore if they will do research and finds out about this long sale they've done.

It's not clear for me to see your thread about do japanese and US citizens allowed to participate in the TON ico or not. A little percentage of token means nothing and i guess they will about to get another hundred of million dollars again.
Im interesting to participate on TON ico while at the same time i was also feeling doubt because it has raised a lot of money and there was only a little room to grow.

The private sale was brief. The gap between private sale and ICO was long. And there are no clear indications what have been done in the meantime.
Liquid exchange have a dedicated page for Gram ICO. Seems like the Gram Asia is selling it's own tokens and it's not an official ICO from the Telegram. Investors should be cautious and invest at your own risk.

So the most abused platform by the crypto-community is set out to create a token for themselves? I bet those bounty groups must have been really impressive to motivate them. I could definitely see this coming. Wouldn't be surprised if the entire ICO is carried out on telegram itself.

Telegram is a very unrestricted medium where people can do anything as they have many things integrated.
Not only does telegram a heaven for bounty groups, they are also one of the most used privacy focused IM.
Specially in the places with opressive governments, public are using telegram to communicate and share news which otherwise would not make it to the press.

Telegram had a private sale and as I knew, it raised 800M USD to 1 Billion. This is the first time I am seeing the 1.7 Billion figure! However, I don't think their IEO will be open to everyone. If they choose even an average exchange to held their IEO, I am sure all token will be sold out within seconds! After Bitfinex's LEO coin, now Telegram's TON/Gram coin! These coins are not for the public!

I partially confused with the news of the so called TON tokens, there's private sales that raise billions and another so called GRAM Asia from Korea is selling their holdings somehow and it's not associated with the project owners (telegram), a website named ico-telegram.org says the ICO has halted with refunds, but news say it's selling on liquid.com and it's just hours ago. No idea what's going on haha

The period between private and public sale is definitly way too long. Even if early investors had to lock their tokens this lock may be lifted soon and investors may push their tokens into the market as soon as the price raises further due to the IEO.

Telegram is bringing gram coin and it's being heard for a long time. I think they are developing something good and real usable coin unlike the so said utility token.

I just don't know why Telegram chose Liquid as an exchange open to sell its token. Because I see that in addition to Liquid, there are many other exchange with a larger number of users. This may be a way for Liquid to promote its exchange

The rumour is that hey have raised $1.7 billion already. If this is true, then there is absolutely no need for them to raise more money with another sale. For me this is a big red flag. I don't trust these projects that have no hard cap, they just smell of greed. I am extremely skeptical that $1.7 billion just isn't enough to launch and maintain their crypto project.

I think people might caution on this sale since it was stated on the article that Liquid has no direct relationship with Telegram itself and is only acting as  a third party reseller of GRAM tokens so I guess we shall wait and see for further developments and news about this matter.

I have just heard about this news today, but I don't read the news completely yet. Really curious about the coin and the concept. This is part of the crypto development where some media social finally get in the crypto world closely, like what's done by Facebook. This may be a good signal for crypto future. But, will it be successful? Let's watch and wait.
