There are no files or anything on the site. I would suggest to use any of the existing forum software and start from there. May be you can provide some more information to get people on board.

This is not a bad idea but all you have at the moment is a domain name http://cryptoforum.org, i can be of help as a coder but we need to have concrete agreement in the area of partnership.
Be specific with the features you have in mind to build another great forum.

If you want to make the software then I'd ask why, since there are forum softwares you can use and maybe even modify. And there's also epochtalk.
If you want to build up a community as big as this, hmm.. then it's going to be difficult. And hiring a couple of programmers to make the forum look great will not be enough. Just take a look, this forum is not good looking, but it has quite a community.
