Hey guys, I sent someone 0.45 BTC last night around 10pm from my bitcoin-qt 0.8.6 wallet. It's still showing zero confirmations on Blockchain and in my wallet. Here are the tx details:

https://blockchain.info/tx/88d196b543799274d38b9e33def17a8c8ea4b3fba3ae2860785d51dbea62094f

Code:
Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 3/13/14 22:08
To: 1CaYkQJXvb4Lx3PE365nRm18Xnd2PubCmw
Debit: -0.45 BTC
Transaction fee: -0.0000001 BTC
Net amount: -0.4500001 BTC
Transaction ID: 88d196b543799274d38b9e33def17a8c8ea4b3fba3ae2860785d51dbea62094f

What is going on with this transaction? The funds definitely have been withdrawn from my balance in my wallet. Will this clear itself up or will I need to do anything manually to remove/cancel/restore something??

I'd leave it and wait.

That is a pretty low tx fee. I sent a transaction the other day via blockchain accidentally without a fee. 2 days later it failed. I ended up resending it last night.

Looking at the network propagation it seems to making its way around.

I'd just leave it for now and wait. Next time use a slightly higher fee. 0.0001+

Yeah, but check out the transaction. It has one amount for 0.45 and another amount for 0.0100011, not my original amount specified. I'm thinking there was something screwy with this transaction maybe?

On another note, I downloaded the 0.9rc3 bitcoin-qt wallet and used the command line option to remove unconfirmed transactions. That worked and my wallet balance was showing the correct amount, so I attempted to send my full balance to a wallet on my laptop and now that transaction is still unconfirmed, as well. In the debug.log file, I'm seeing "inputs already spent" messages. Did I just screw myself up? Will it all clear up if I sit back and not touch it for several days to allow those unconfirmed transactions to clear out of the memory pool? HALP! Smiley

I can't see that other little amount on the tx that you mention but that's because I'm viewing on my phone - I think. is it just the remaining amount from your wallet?

if you give it a few days it will clear. although you've removed and sent again it's still out there (original tx) and it will eventually be dropped as will your double spend.

it's frustrating but it will be okay. take it from somebody who did this with 1btc the other day. I'd say remove your double spend too so your client doesn't keep trying to propagate it to other nodes.

Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App

Ok, cool, thanks man. I removed both transactions and ensured they're not being retransmitted. Thanks for reassuring me about this! I've been freaking out all day about it. Smiley
