Hello Deepbit team,

I got a big problem.

I tryed to pay out my bitcoins. At the day i tryed it to pay out it doesn't work.
So I got today the idea to post here my problem. But i saw that the transfer
is allready done but to my old bitcoin adress...
is it possible to transfer the bitcoins to my new bitcoin adress?
I didn't got access to my old bitcoint adress anymore...

My old adress was : 12Dom3DtKjyyQwrgig4nTqPpdMkFhGfitd
and my new adress is now: 1Gg6V9bzt88fsAhD6fhdhZvvx7CV9Vxbo

The name of my account is: benjaminleonhardt@gmx.de

If you check my account than you will se that i tryed to change the adress.
I still waiting for the confirmation mail of this change...

I mailed at this day to pool@deepbit.net
But I also never received an answer to my mail till now...

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Exactly. Once the coins are sent, they can't be rolled back.

Do you have a backup of your wallet from 2011, 2012 etc?

Why don't you have access to your old address any more? Did you remove the account wallet that had that address?

Did you keep the private key to that address somewhere? Did you export it from the website? You should always backup your keys in case something like this ever happens again. The old keys, if they are backed up, will allow you to easily restore access to those coins.

If you did not store those keys anywhere, and you shut down the online wallet (which effectively destroyed it), I'm afraid those coins are gone for good.

It may be worth noting that this isn't the first time (and sadly won't be the last) something like this has happened.

For future reference don't delete old wallets even after youve moved the coins on. Theres no reason not to keep a copy somewhere, it doesnt even need to be encrypted if its empty.
