I know most users on this forum will be exited if Russian started exporting gas and oil for Bitcoins but that is not going to happen soon so selling Gas and Oil for Gold can be a interesting move.
What could happen if Russian dumped the USD and switched to Gold for Gas and Oil exports ?

What could happen if Russian dumped the USD and switched to Gold for Gas and Oil exports ?
Something bad would happen for everyone because it will crash entire USD economy. It's an act of collective suicide, that's why nobody will dump such amount of green paper while another option is available.  |

Something bad would happen for everyone because it will crash entire USD economy. It's an act of collective suicide, that's why nobody will dump such amount of green paper while another option is available.  So here it goes: in the just reported latest data, for the week ended March 12, Treasurys held in custody by the Fed dropped to $2.855 trillion: a drop of $104.5 billion. If I were a US citizen I reckon both Gold and BTC might be a good place to put USD - and I'd be doing it while USD still holds the value that it does - unless of course I was broke, in which case the point is moot/academic  Of course, when the US sneezes the UK catches the cold - so I have some BTC myself already  ps. Same questions asked here |

Countries will try to get their oil from other sources , Oil producing countries will try to increase the production , oil prices will go up.
In the same time will have also a gold bubble , which will burst when Russia will realize that is losing money since their exports are down 90% and starts accepting paper back.
A lot of people will make a lot of money during this , a lot will suffer and nothing will really change.

In that case bitcoin will cost 10,000 USD Or 100,000, who knows? Russia is having $460 billion in its reserves. Even if Russia is able to secure half of all BTCs in circulation (6.5 million BTCs), each one of those BTCs will be worth $70,769. |
